The only conditions where the vehicle will allow the use of an external battery to force release of the Frunk are;

1. Dead 48V battery.
2. Vehicle unlocked.

This has been something Tesla has had available on their vehicles since the Model 3 7+ years ago... nobody is going to hotwire your CT and steak the stuff out of your frunk.
Regarding other models, the owners manual originally said the vehicle 12V battery needed to be dead to be able to pop the frunk externally, but they later removed that text as it was possible to open it with a functional car.

The same may be true of Cybertruck: "A standard 9V battery may not have enough power to open the powered frunk if Cybertruck has no power. Instead, use a portable jump starter or another vehicle."

I have never seen a single documented instance of someone being able to open the frunk of a Tesla using an external battery if the car had power and was locked.

Newer models might have fixed the issue, but it was a thing with early 3s...

Numerous comment responses to that video indicate it is not possible. So either the person who made the video claimed the vehicle was locked when it was not, or this was an oversight on Tesla's part that was remedied with a software update many years ago.

The bottom line is that what I stated is accurate, you cannot open the frunk when the vehicle is locked unless the 12V/48V battery is dead.

I had very similar issue. Could never open doors, although we did open frunk - charging low-voltage battery did not work. Required towing to SC.
”power conversion unit” was replaced. Once done after a week, all is ok.

Luckily, new or old ICE vehicles never break down, have 12 volt battery issues or leak fluids. Otherwise, OP would be in trouble.
Very helpful. Who needs you? My 2023 Lexus bricked with a dead hybrid battery.

Bummer, a bricked (non-responsive) vehicle is never fun, whatever the cause.

100k is an expensive lesson to learn. It's a good thing you have another real car (ICE) to get you around and out of the cold. Good luck with your new lawn ornament.
Are you an internet TROLL??
Hummmm......

An internet troll is someone who makes intentionally inflammatory, rude, or upsetting statements online to elicit strong emotional responses in people or to steer the conversation off-topic. They can come in many forms. Most trolls do this for their own amusement, but other forms of trolling are done to push a specific agenda.

I wrote steak instead of steal because I haven't had enough coffee. LOL
Couldn’t decide if you meant steal or sneak. Or I guess you could’ve really wanted steak. All would’ve made sense.

Cyber truck, 40% charge is not responsive to me. App won’t unlock it, key cards aren’t working. Stuck on a snowy driveway Truck doesn’t seem to react in anyway. Earlier the car had a message when I was getting out that “electrical system unable to support all features”. Yet it has 40% charge.

Any ideas? I tried honking the horn etc and nothing works at all. I tried entering in rear doors, passenger side, pressing the charging port button - nada. It is very cold at the moment but it drove fine today.

Could the battery deplete but not adjust the charge on app / screen? Trying to contact Tesla now.

I experienced same issue with my new CT (301 miles on CT). Towed to SC, 5 weeks later SC found the main relay had shorted out, due to water leaking in from rear window. (Relays are located behind rear seat). After replacing relay SC work to find how water was able to get into relays. Found one screw was not installed at factory that hold rear window trim. I back into my down slopping driveway, had been raining hard the day/night before failure. I keep my tonneau closed while parked.
I have not had any further issues (5500 miles later). Ps. SC provided a Model X loaner vehicle.

Jumping power to open the frunk hasn’t worked either. It was first thing Tesla suggested. I was trying in the dark on icy surface - but gave it another go today with a 9v, and then a new Noco boost.
No luck
