This seems to be the sensor used to open the door. There's a similar one behind the rear door as well. Maybe it's a fingerprint reader?

Yes. There was a statement by passing GTX employee saying it actually looks like it has improved. But yea. I noticed that.

For some reason I thought they were doing a final production model unveil, showing off all the features and releasing final pricing.

Clearly I have the event windows wrong… anyone know when the final w/ pricing is being held? Perhaps next stockholder’s meeting, coinciding with the handing over of a few trucks to vips/local buyers etc?
You thought that because a lot of people said it was so. It would have been nice.

as for pricing, etc., we are all tired of the wait - get in line…

I don’t think it’s THAT big. The mid 3rd is the removable part I believe
there are two removable parts

the center 1/3 removes to reveal the hitch receive, pins:

the other 2/3 (on either side of and running just under the center 1/3) remove to reveal the frame/recovery mounts - as seen removed in my first photo above, with the “push” bars mounted

in video from today you can clearly see this 2/3 portion running the length of the diaper

I think the high cost will mainly be the features promised. It's all expensive features on any vehicle:

- Super strong power tonneau cover
- automatic ride high adjustment
- stainless steel exterior
- armored glass
- AWD
- Power Frunk
- Built in compressor
- Autopilot HW4
- 4 Wheel steering
- 17" touch screen
- 48v development
- 800v - 1000v battery system

Regardless how much you " save on paint " all these features are top tier, that all cost a lot of money to build. No vehicle is under 80k with even half of these features.

I can guarantee you the stainless steel cost more than painting a car.
I think 3 of those didn't exist at launch

Although I do not agree with your list I have to say it is disappointing to hear Elon talk this way about the cost of building the Cybertruck over and over. Suffice it to say that he doesn’t know how much they will be charging us for the CT and that probably has a lot to do with why we don’t know which trim will come first, what the feature set is, or the price.

Did anyone there get an idea of the size of the Vault, bed?

Did the tailgate ever get lowered to see the inside?

Is this geared as a work truck or more of a super truck?

Any talk of a power supply like what Ford has done with the Lightning?

Another YouTuber that ‘won’ the random lottery again. Thanks a lot for stabbing me in the eye. By the way; these YouTubers, combined, appear to be as knowledgeable as a banana slug. This is how our society works. The banana slugs are running (and winning) everything. Yes, I am bitter and angry. Isn’t it enough that I have been scrimping and saving for almost 4 years, and watching these idiots stumble over facts every day, that I have to suffer through them at the annual stockholders meeting too?
