I'm pretty sure they built that motor to be very strong...but since it's stowed vertically all you need to do is heat the windshield before you leave and it should melt all the snow pretty quickly. I was in Tahoe and it snowed like 2 ft and I just preconditioned the vehicle pretty hot and the snow was almost all gone in prob 7-9 mins. Again I'm sure they thought of every scenario imaginable and it's pretty easy to throw snow on it to see how everything works.
