I've got nothing to add here, but very curious to see if someone has insider info. I'd love that as an option -- summers here in Central Ca are brutal and the glass on my Y cooks my head. I have all windows and windshield tinted which helps a little but not enough

I'm hoping for a solar roof.
yeah that would be nice but doubt they will introduce in the beginning and the crash test video showed that it was transparent so my hopes for solar are down

I'm pretty sure I did and it seems to help on the windows that have it (5% on sides and rear and 30% on the windshield), but I don't have anything on the top glass which is the issue. I don't know how much tint can help when it's 100+ out though.

It doesnt look like any glass roof of other tesla models
Unlike other Tesla models, the Cybertruck roof glass is flat, so it reflects the sky easily.

Hopefully you have tried nano ceramic tint such as crystalline. I live in South Carolina which is probably worse and have no issues and no need for a roof shade or anything.

Ceramic tint on the top glass is a game changer. 5% doesn’t sound like a ceramic tint but I could be wrong.

Looks like that may very well be the case.

Yeah we have the same issue here in Florida, if it’s hot it’s just hot, nothing you can do except not plan on a long trip after it’s parked all day keeping the inside cool. The ceramic helps a bunch but if it’s 100 outside and you’re parked in it for a while it’s going to get hot no matter what.

Actually, the roof the of the CT is not flat.

To improve aerodynamics, the CT roof is slightly curved at the point where it contacts the windshield.

Look closely as the peak of the CT in some of the resent beta videos and you'll see it's not flat.

Seems to be some confusion on tint. What you’re looking for is the %solar energy rejection. I personally use Air 80 on my windshields so it’s like a sun visor that’s always there you can’t see. The most you will notice is a possible rainbow effect if you wear polarized lenses but it’s not a distraction to my wife and I. For the windows that’s dealers choice on what you’re looking for. For the CT I’m going to talk to my guy about doing air 80 with the ceramic one over another or air 80 outside even though it won’t last as long. if I can boost that heat rejection higher without visibility issues I’m doing it.

Sure seems that way.

I’m hoping CT has some serious shade. the Porsche doesn’t look enough for my liking.

any reason someone shouldn’t blackout tint the roof?
