Honestly no idea - that's above my pay grade. Just something I noticed comparing both models. What i might do as an experiment is charge them both to 70% and leave them for a day or two and compare. Id assume if your X got better with it over time the same will happen with the CT. Personally I think its a software thing. For example my CT wakes up every time I walk near it the Y doesn't. Maybe its constantly checking for a connection or something. Maybe its sending more info back to tesla where they have years of data on the Y.So why do we think this is? Is it because of the size of the battery and the hardware around it or is it because it’s still running immature software? If it’s the latter we can expect an improvement over time.
That was definitely the case with our 2016 model x back in the day. It got SO much better at charging and maintaining charge over the years it was hard to believe.
Or is it something else entirely?
