I don’t think the reset will work if all the electronics lost power.

Well, you would have slowed down to a stop rather quickly......Very! What if I was driving and it did this...
Probably because OP says they cannot get back inside of the truck to do the wheel reset.
I thought the question was related to when they were in the truck already and if they tried that then.I hope you read other posts that clarified the obvious.
One doesnt try to restart a computer when it has no power - try pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL when your computer has no power and see what happens. You may try, but if you cant even physically reach the buttons (the OP was locked out), that would look pretty silly, wouldn't it?
Why are you giving me hard time?
...That's when you do the PRAM reset or capacitor discharge reset, so yes, you do push buttons when the computer has no power. One doesnt try to restart a computer when it has no power...
Sometimes equipment keeps circuits open/available on critical components but has them off on others. Just because a screen/display is dark does not mean the components related to it are 'off'. I've had displays on equipment/computers be off for various reasons (cable loosened up, graphics 'card' had software bug, etc) but the equip/computer was still on.Fair. But even then no power makes scroll wheel reset irrelevant
It was question whether they tried a hard reset, you know, BEFORE they got locked out. It would be useful to know whether that would work in this situation, wouldn't it?Probably because OP says they cannot get back inside of the truck to do the wheel reset.
This is true of any electronic/autolocking doors.NOTE TO SELF: when truck loses power...don't close the door
Thanks for your contribution to this thread. Try not acting like a prick all of the time dude.none of the CTs have FSD but lots of them seem to have come equipped with Foundation Series Beta
OP said the door open button wasn't working either, they had to use manual release. It's fairly obvious there's no power, resetting won't do anything.I thought the question was related to when they were in the truck already and if they tried that then.
I don't think he's acting! Thanks for your contribution to this thread. Try not acting like a prick all of the time dude.
