The BAW looks different too. It is hard to take a good screen grab (stupid Twitter), but it looks like it telescopes now at least from rest.

I hope that contraption hanging off the rear is rated for dragging across rocks, because it’s really out there in the way of a decent departure angle.

It's a bumper. That's what it's for.

I’m referring to the contraption hanging below the bumper, reducing an otherwise average departure angle to that of a car.

New here hello everyone! Does anybody else think it looks like at about 8:20 that there may be steer-by-wire? The driver is on a phone so driving one handed and it kinda looks to me like he really isn’t turning the wheel that much but the tires are cranked all the way.

No one not directly behind you needs to be blinded.

throwcomputer is absolutely right. These Reverse lights are all wrong. The issue isnt the brightness - no car has ever had stock back up lights that are ‘blinding’. The problem is placement, they are nicely tucked in a cove on the bumper. The light will be directed in a narrow beam behind the truck. There will be no light to the sides, you will not be able to see anything on the sides of your rear end and backing out of a parking space, cars in the travel lanes of a parking lot, perpendicular to you, will not know your intention to back up until they are directly behind you as they pass you. Note to self: plan to add auxiliary back up lighting.

the departure angle numbers have most certainly changed. Not shown in this video but previously we’ve seen the big flat plates also part of this, below the bumper region. This video shows them on the front - maybe for attachments?

Its not clear how much of that stuff will be in the final truck. The big posts sticking out seem to be mounts for some kind of equipment and are almost certainly not going to be in final.

Except that it can't fold down flat because the front wall of the bed is angled with a smaller straight section at the top above the angled alcove. So if they try to make a fold down mid gate like everyone wants, when you fold that wall down into the cab, you will have a sizeable dip in the floor of the folded down section. Which would be weird and also would require the bench seat to either fold down and out of the way, or mirror the shape of the severely angled wall being folded on top of it, while still leaving enough room above the seat bench to fit the extra thickness of the cab wall, with gap for the sliding vault cover and glass that you think will retract into it, and bed wall. That's a lot of space and engineering for a less critical novelty feature.

Me thinks you people will be disappointed when all these discussions end in no mid gate.

Side lights also illuminate when in reverse

The number plate illumination helps hitching.
