Essentially a $3,000 credit now, $2,500 for gateway and "free" $580 Universal Charger, they mail both to you, and you go through QMerit to find the installer. MUST be done this way as TSLA won't let the system work if you get all the parts and hire a random electrician.

This is incorrect. It is just $2500 voucher. You can use the voucher to purchase PowerShare + universal charger, which is $2500 for the combo. There is no “free” universal charger.

Well I have one in transit to me now, Tesla app says $2500 for Gateway and $580 for Universal Charger, reduced to $0. But thanks ?. Kind of moot I guess…. I did receive the universal charger a while ago for free. Gateway shipped a couple weeks later.

Going through much the same issue just trying to get what I ordered, PowerShare. One of the reasons I ordered the truck living in Florida. I can’t get through to anyone. I was given an email addres of [email protected] and even the email was rejected.

then I received a note that they are giving me charging credit and shop credit…no powershare. Not even a discussion.

in Florida, this is called bait and switch and clearly illegal.

if enough owners are going through this it may be just as easy to have a class action law suit.

Depends what the value is on the charging and shop credit, if it’s similar value not really a big deal unless it expires and you don’t need it. My store credit for PowerShare and UWC exp in 1 yr

Interestingly they sent me the universal wall connector at no charge prior to me even ordering the gateway, it still showed a $2500 credit in my account…. Just speaking from my experience.

the $4k was also a huge reason to spend the extra $20k for 1 more motor. I got mine only a week ago, but went by all the previous advertising, they should have discounted the msrp on these that $4k or offered $6500 in vouchers or credit. I'd be game to file a complaint also. They just silently take $4k away??

It wasn't silent. After May 22, the order page called out no installation credit.

Are you saying it was simply not mentioned or was there some language that indicated that it was no longer being offered. Also, does anyone have anything showing the $4,000 offer in writing? Thank you.

These are an awesome help. Thank you! I hear people mentioning a May cutoff. I ordered mine in January and put down the non-refundable $1,000 but did not take delivery until June 30th. Would my purchase be considered 'Before" the May cutoff and therefore I should be entitled to the $

It's order date, not delivery. So you are in the $4k installation credit group.

I see the first graphic mentions the $4,000 without limitation, but the second one references "eligible customers". I wonder if Tesla will simply say that customers who did not receive it were not "elibible" for some made up reason.

First one says "and is available in most zip codes" which implies it is not available everywhere i.e. some people will be ineligible.

Depends how one defines "order". The original reservation process actually is called order process. Based on this all earlier reservations are eligible. Tesla has changed the rules retroactively without notifying sales and delivery teams, which do not have an idea how this has happened. I know for sure that weeks after May 23 there was no change in policy since I went to sales office 2 weeks after May 23 and reviewed with the sales representative their internal guidance for sale. $4k credit was there, and it was removed from the website for non-foundation reservations. This is a huge mess.
