Are we sure all Cyberbeasts are delayed to the end of 2024? Is there any chance that those that jumped on the Cyberbeast on the 8th or 9th (when the promise was early 2024) get serviced?
Where did we learn: “ Cyberbeast FS aren’t being delivered until 2nd half of 2024…” ??!
Even if the 1st round of FS Cyberbeasts get delivered, there’s still the question of the 2nd round FS Cyberbeasts. I would be pissed if i payed a premium and regular AWDs get delivered before my FS Cyberbeast.
When you order a FS Cyberbeast, that’s the estimated date.
I think, from a production perspective, it makes sense to do all Foundations first as well. Lets the line practice the same (and nearly all) options, avoids confusion around switching, etc.
That’s true for the second wave of invitations and for anyone placing a new reservation. When I configured mine on the 8th, Cyberbeast was “early 2024”.
Are you suggesting that Tesla will stop ramping production over a few hundred FE Beasts? Because that doesn’t sound like Tesla.
I hope you’re right! Have we heard any good speculations as in why the Cyberbeast is being delayed? Is that additional motor that much different that it pushed it out 6+ months?
Not I. The FS Duals first quarter. Why wouldn’t they start sending out invitations to order non-FS duals right away? There probably won’t be ‘that’ many beasts ordered and they have to keep the production momentum up if only to get it all worked out. Also, unless they take non-FS orders they won’t know what the conversion rate will be and thus cannot predict how to order parts and materials. If they take orders they don’t have to give delivery dates. When I ordered my Modrl Y it was in September, 2021, and I didn’t get until March, 2022. Tesla is not going to idle the plant for 8 months. Maybe a few days here and there, but after each I bet the production rate will increase.
