they similarly insisted “Tesla would never release a ~320mi truck,” or “Tesla would never produce the three motor in low volumes,” or before that, “there’ll be a built in air compressor,” or “there’s a 6th seat,” or “there’s a midgate,” or … on and on

they’ve been more sanguine of late

In total agreement here and I feel you.

I put my $100 down the night of the reveal in 2019. Got what I found out later was a pretty early RN. 112747642. I then pretty much forgot about the CT during the pandemic since life at work turned upside down (hospitals were a weird place in 2020-2021-2022…) until last fall TBH.

I joined this MB in 10/23 right after the release party date was announced. I was pretty open to whatever was going to happen with the CT. I didn’t have a lot of preconceived notions of what would actually be released mainly because I hadn’t really thought about it that much.

I think the price was the thing that stood out the most to meet at the launch party. Things like mid gates , air compressors and the such weren’t really on my radar. 320 range actually sounded good since it was similar or better than the M3 I’m currently driving and it works well for me!

I guess my long rambling point here is that I’m pretty much a n00b as it relates to most of thing most people comment, discuss anmd even argue about here. Especially the technical shit! I gotta think there are a few other just like me that are simply just stoked to have an Electric Truck with the same Tesla interface and qualities that make us love our S3XY models.

I do however appreciate all the thoughtful and well well supported arguments and details you and others provide on this MB. It’s fun to read. Sadly I'm mostly only capable of smart ass comments…. So sorry!!

That said, it's possible he's making all this stuff up "Fight Club" style, but his "guesses" have been far more prescient than the so-called facts touted by most "Internet Sources".

Insiders that reveal themselves usually don't stay insiders very long. So as always take everything you read (particularly on the internet) with a grain of salt.

The 1000 FS rumor is just more nonsense for the ignorant to parrot.

I almost die laughing coming back here and seeing how the fan bois have their pink women's underwear again into a wad splitting their coiffured hairs over the 1,000 Foundation Series. Of course, spewing their righteous indignations with not so few spices and colorful adjectives and insults.

Musk is one ticket away into a lifetime ban on driving with his many SEC fines and violations.

The 1,000 was from Tesla watchers reading the pattern on the Founder's Series Y, S and supposedly limited edition Roadster.

But Marketing and Finance 101, Tesla found out there are a lot of fools and their money out there so why not draw on the well until it dries up.

Please people, just calm down. It's not as if your life's trajectory will change by your rabid opinionating.

I'll tell you, it's easier on your clogged arteries to just state your opinion than trying to make others look ignorant or wrong.

Coworker just got his FS CT. its sitting in our parking lot right now and my jealousy bubbleth over. He said he is in the 1100 range for the VIN number. I don't know if that helps at all to get an idea of where they are with actual deliveries.

Good points. 100% with you. I guess we just have to wait and see. I took delivery of mine 3 weeks ago so won’t really matter for me

As a reservation holder that hasn’t been invited to order an FS Cybertruck I have been thinking about what ordering will be like after FS is done.

Mostly this thinking started when Tesla stopped FS invitations. Anyway, I see no reason why Tesla would continue the invitations in a post-FS world. They could just let everyone order and then fill the orders in ‘sequence’ (whatever that means). That is how all the other Tesla vehicles get ordered.

They are assigning VINs that high, not delivering that high. VIN to delivery is 3 weeks in most cases.
