Qmerit almost doubled what the electrician told me over the phone

Anyone else have this issue? Fair price? I am paying for gateway and uwc separate.

The meter is outside directly behind main panel which is on outside wall with 40' run (all verticle/horizontal distance calculated)to normal charging spot where I have current Tesla lvl 2 gen 3 wall connector.

Looks pretty cheap to me. A business cannot stay in business unless their activities generate enough revenue to pay all expenses and the people who made it happen.

Bidding a job like this over the phone, based on a customers verbal description of the existing site infrastructure is a real crapshoot.

that's not bad at all. If my quote were that inexpensive (it was $6,600+ with no panel replacement and me supplying the Powershare hardware) I would have done it.

Mine was $5500 for an install right next to the outside electrical panel and meter, with an existing non-universal wall charger already wired and working (just needed swapping out for the universal model). Inches of distance and well within the wifi full strength mode. I do not have solar nor powerwalls.

Such a rip-off. I declined and spent my $2500 on mods and spare tire. I'm still pretty salty about that. I hope that V2 of the Powershare will be easier and cheaper to add on if it ever comes.

I agree. Quote looks good. My quote was around 5500 with gateway replacement

That's a low price. Make sure you read every contract detail.

My quote was 5700+. I sourced my own Tesla certified electrician and negotiated an install for $3000 (includes permits). Zero issues with activation.
