No Range Extender but doesn't mean it can't be replaced by something better right?

Not a large enough percentage take rate to justify the cost of the range extender program.
I think that's accurate. And I've been predicting this since shortly after Tesla revealed they were developing an add-on battery. It never made sense for the vast majority of the market and Tesla is not known for niche products. It was always more trouble than it was worth and I'm glad Tesla finally came to that conclusion.

Whelp....I still get at least one person per day go out of their way to get my attention and tell me how they think my Cybertruck is the badest-ass vehicle they have ever seen in their life...and in particluar, the way I "painted it." To which I explain to them how it's a custom print on a vinyl wrap, and it goes on from there...

Demand for these will pick up eventually...when the stars align...economy, etc...

I wonder how conversations went back in the early 1900's when Model T's were putting around all the horse owners...

Paradigm shifts take time...

I bought a Alto Safari Condo R171, 2-3000 lbs.. 17' long, vertically retractable. It folds out but still is 17'. 1st trip last month, 50 degrees average temps, all season tires. 3 full charges, 192 mi per charge average, 55 mph 25%, 60 mph 75%, 40 mi no trailer. I'm so very very disappointed in Tesla right now. I really hope I can trade up for a bigger battery

Its sucks loosing the extra range but i cant leave FSD. I enjoy it and use about 95% of my driving. When I drive a ice car I extremely hate it. Until other auto manufactures have something as good or better FSD I personally would never change.

With the extra battery weight towing with the CT would probably only get 1mkw or 1.2mkw at best. At $.36 per kw supercharging it would cost you $36 to go 100 miles.

Yes, was looking at this exact set up as well! How do you like the Condo? I’ve put my search on hold. I’m not an overlander camper guy. I’m a “let me tow my castle” guy- but that’s on hold for a bit now.

To oddly shaped with cells would be my guess, might get another 20k in there that would help but wouldn't move the needle.
Tesla should have delivered a 500mile range truck so when towing we could get 250
My thoughts exactly. And I said NO WAY am I buying a CT without that range. Turns out I was wrong, I have 32000 miles on my CT. ?

I think you all might be panicking for something that could potentially be good news.. That's a pretty big commitment to back out of for the amount they could have made from selling these.

Likely reason is either they didn't have enough preorders to justify production orrr... they are working on extending the range with the existing or an updated/upgraded battery pack.

IMO someone oughta design a Range Extender to drop into the “Smugglers Bay” , that way we retain the full length of the bed and keep the CG low.
That’s a great idea! I hope someone’s listening
