Hi, i recently picked up my Foundation AWD (so far a great experience). I´ve been trying to change the Cybertruck horn to a regular horn tone. Does anyone know how to do this?

You can't. One way conversion was offered for early FS owners to the new horn, there's never been an option to convert the other way.

As others have said, there is no option to roll back to the traditional horn after changing to the cyber horn sound. Tesla made this clear during the offer to original FS owners when the new horn sound was rolled out.

Maybe answered elsewhere, but is there a reason that you can’t go back? It is all software controlled, isn’t it? Why is it not reversable?

They didn't add the additional functionality needed to track which trucks had the horn originally.

There are two horns tucked away in the wheel wells. When I had the frunk plastic tub removed you can access them very easy. I imagine they operate at 48v so if you replaced them with a 48v horn it might work. Splicing may have to be done unless you find the connector type. There are plenty of horns that run on 48v on Amazon.

Ther original setup had two normal horns (high tone and low tone). However, those will never be powered after the truck is switched to the new superhorn/ passenger warning unit. The superhorn is a speaker fed by the media control unit so you can't swap it for a normal horn.

They also received NTSB approval for the new horn sound. Not sure but maybe the approval process stipulated that users couldn't revert to the old horn sound.

I have a FS, can I still change to the CT horn - the default horn is kinda wimpy.

Good point, NHTSA did crack down on pedestrian sound options so might have done something horn wise with grandfathering since the originals were compliant.

I thought once they got approval for the speaker horn, they were going to stop putting an actual traditional horn in the new CTs? The best part is no part mantra. Is it confirmed that newly made trucks coming off the line no longer have the traditional horn?

It would require an earlier model FS that had the original hardware horns (not just the speakers) and Tesla to OTA new software which they clearly indicated they would not bother with.
