Yup. When we just have to close that gate, that's the way we do it here in the western extremes of Greater Appalachia.

Here's one way to do it.

Bike looks like a 29 and if can fit alone the bed, the bet most be minimum 76-80 inches long. I have the short bed version(69.3 in) on my Silverado and My MTB's will not fix that way unless I bring the tailgate down

Lightweight motorcycles typically have a length over 75" (you can look up even trivial things on the google-plex...).

I think the best prediction of the length of the CT vault at the floor is 6' 1" which my calculator says is 73". (hasn't someone measured this YET???)

So, you're right, unless the lucky biker doesn't try to raise the tailgate after loading his/her motor.

A) Position it diagonally

B) Turn the front wheel(s)

If I were to haul my bike in the back of my CT to a location where I felt the need for "vault like" security. I'd lay down a moving blanket and lay the bike on its side. POOF, close the vault.

I posted this in the other thread that had a different picture of the CT and this bike.

Bike in the back looks to be a Specialized "Turbo Creo SL Comp Carbon" which is an ebike that charges via a 48 volt system. Specialized headquarters is about 35 miles away from the Fremont factory (which is near where this picture was taken).

Mulitiple bikes fit? Remove wheel(s), etc.

Wow, I've never seen this photo. Is that diagonal a place for multiple attachment points or some kind of chain-drive for the tonneau?
