I got mine done yesterday by the Jacksonville FL SC. Everything they did so far looks good and it is working fine. No more leaks in the vault ether (I tested). I had much water leaking in before fix. Pics of invoice also for this fix. They started fixing at 11:00 am and finished at 1:00 pm.

Before slat fix done:

After slat fix done:

Water intrusion before fix:

Water intrusion after fix (pretty much none):

Thank you for this info DarkEye. I have just created a service request at that SC and mentioned my missing slat allowing water in the bed. We'll see what happens.

I just had the slat added and still have leaking :/
There are two points it can leak. Where the tonneau cover comes out and up between the top glass and the metal plate before the tonneau cover. The part right below the glass has had the material under the metal plate go bad on people.

I tried doing this and they denied it, they did however fix the tailgate to be tight against the vault so its perfectly aligned.

I will try at a different service center in the future when I'm getting my lightbar installed, the one I went to yesterday was constantly trying to avoid doing any of the work I requested unless I advocated hard for it.

Just got back from service for tire rotation, check alignment, flex harness guide, and check the tonneau gap. Currently at 06,900 miles. FS AWD 113xx. ETA: And wheel covers, finally!!

Tech called me and said tires are wearing perfectly even. No need to rotate. They checked the alignment and found it perfect. So no charge for rotation or alignment since no work was performed.

Flex cable guide installed.

They tried to adjust the tonneau gap but it didn’t work. They’re ordering a new tonneau and will install in two weeks. They already made the appointment.

The West Covina SC is always the best service!!
What’s the Flex Cable Guide you mentioned?

It’s frustrating we have to operate on our trucks to get the leaking to stop. My leaking is worse after the slat fix LOL.

I buy a lightning, for half the cost and slap a Chinese bed cover on it and doesn’t even get a drop in it. I know it’s apples to oranges but dang

I have 3 kids and a business, I don’t want to take stuff apart on it to stop a flood coming in… just venting guys

I still haven’t removed my aero flap to reseal. It’s prob a lot easier than it sounds. But Wish it was watertight from factory.

Totally understand. But, I'm willing to be the reason why your leak got worse after the slat was added is because I'm pretty sure they remove the tonneau appliqué to do the slat service. So, when they reinstalled the applique, the seal probably got moved where the seal isn't perfect.

Has anyone tried just putting some silicon in the crack between the glass roof and the metal tonneau appliqué?

So I had the rework done and they added one(1) slat. This helped mitigate the amount of water a good bit, but I was still getting more than I would have liked. I could still see where the water would run down the back window. Upon inspection I found where some water was gaining entry because of the appliqué. I then decided to put a bead of clear silicone across the entirety length of where the appliqué met the cab. This fixed the majority of the water in the bed. It still gets some, but only when I take it through a conveyor car wash.

Yeah, honestly, it was never really the water management slat. I still have it the old way. What almost 100% sealed it up was the replacement of the seal they placed under the applique. This video referenced the fix and once it did it, been almost bone dry every rain.

I also covered the gap between bed and tailgate and that vastly improved the dust and road debris from being sucked in like a vacuum. Gap shield. https://www.ecoological.com/gapshield.html#/
