We had the vibrating door issue fixed last week. They reset the metal panel and it’s perfect now.

I was really worried they would have to replace the whole door.

Is the parts they replaced considered door panel? That’s what they told me they were doing to mine.

There was something inside the door they replaced and then re-aligned the panel.

The Tampa SC took a look at my door today & said they came up with a fix very recently in their shop involving adding insulation inside the door between the door & panels. This was completed without damaging the door so no need to re-wrap. I’ll pick it up later today & time will tell how permanent this fix is. They did confirm there is no revised door yet so any swaps could be subject to the same problem. I’ll report back if the issue doesn’t seem resolved or reoccurs.
out of curiosity, who did you use for wrapping?

Dang this is more widespread issue than I thought.
Just realized I too have this issue.

You should go around your entire CT and check every single panel. Apparently it's not just the doors and cantrail. There's a video on YouTube with a guy that had just about every single panel replaced because the glue inside them was failing.

Thanks for letting me know. I have mine next week and they said it was a quick fix. I assume it’s probably the same thing.
What fix did your SC go with to fix your door?

The issue I had at the time was shutting the door made a terrible metal on metal clanging noise. It was just the internal bracket hitting the outer skin and I took the door apart myself and put some felt tape between the bracket and the door until I could get it in for service.

Perhaps your issue is something new or different, but if it’s the same (based on the tech’s notes, it sounds similar), it’s interesting they are choosing to replace the entire door.
i am having this issue, since delivery day 10 months ago, but service center says they can’t hear it. I can’t seem to find what is hitting.

If I tap on the exterior panel of the door, I can recreate the rattle.

Check out 4:56

I haven’t gone in for fix yet but charlotte nc SC
Ah ok.

I'd love to just stick a piece of foam in-between the panel and the frame and just call it a day. Idk if I want to remove the interior door panels though...I just know I'd break a several clips while trying.

I’m in for the repair today.

service manager said they have to replace the whole door on driver and passenger side. I am hoping that my tinted windows get brought over. But am worried about that.

anyone have this fix and can let me know how it went?

Only option is replacing the door. There's no other fix.

Im waiting until i know for sure Tesla has the right adhesive and isn't going to just replace the door with another door that will eventually fail as well.
