I've long thought Elon needs to focus on his health. He can hire the best chefs, nutritionists, trainers etc. He should be maintaining his body in optimal health as it will support his mind. Hopefully he realizes this at some point and makes a change. He can do meetings on a treadmill, stop eating crap, learn meditation (twice a day for 20 mins is my practice, he can spare that) and so on.

Yes Tesla will survive, but Elon has much work yet to do and few can do it.

I found out that competitive chess players will lose 10-15 pounds during a tournament without doing any physical exercise at all, and my first thought was "damn I gotta learn chess" lol.

As it happens, the brain chomps though glucose when working. While the players formerly would eat garbage and go drinking between rounds, they now have personal trainers and nutritionists!

I really need to learn that "sit still, think hard, and lose weight" diet

I think his couch hopping at friends might rather be a security risk in that his detail has to then make sure all these locations and people and staff aren't compromised. Its also not good to not have a place you feel "at home" and secure, by being constantly "in flight". His private jet might be his home.
Likely not actually staying at random friends homes, but a few different well vetted locations. People not knowing where he lives or stays is security itself. It’s almost certainly not that $50k home near SpaceX.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if there was a whole secret apartment inside Giga-Texas though.

When you have the resources Elon has you can buy the best security available.
The guys you see around him at events are the tip of the iceberg.

It just that not all potential actors are motivated by money. More people means more access, and the nature of his job, and how he does his work means that potential threats can be embedded already, if they can be sufficiently motivated.

The main prerequisite for effective security is loyalty, and the best loyalty can't be bought.

I suppose one could ask who vetts his friends, what allegiances and exploits do they have, and can they be coerced as well?

Theres heaps of vulnerabilities, and EM seems the opposite of a secluded target, within a highly hierarchical military organisation where security by force is actually achievable by limiting access.

My point is simply there are only so many attack vectors that can be covered and a risk remains. Probably another reason for his attitude, that he is not worried about when his time comes. At some point you have to accept you can only do so much. Hence his comments "to do his best."

Maybe he does need Iron Man's suit.

My loyalty can be bought. Small caveat, I need to be aligned with your views. I can keep a secret if moral and ethical.

Well we have seen his choice of "friends". Bad influence.

If you need help with the "sit still" part let me know. I'm a master at that. It helps to have a comfortable couch and good streaming services. ??

I have read about this phenomenon for years and have often wondered if maybe I'm too dumb to burn calories like that because I use my brain a lot but I'm still fat.
