you’d be surprised.I can't imagine it would make any *measurable* areo difference compared to traveling speed or normal weather winds hitting the car from side or near front. I think there was an obsession to hitting a cd number
at EPA conditions, Tesla has previously said that for for every 10% reduction in drag, range can be increased by 5%. That range increase improves greater at higher average speeds.
Those wiper pockets forward of the windshield create turbulence and low pressure areas, increasing drag. At 75mph, add up up 5 or 6 of those tiny improvements to drag, and it’s cumulative. Offsetting gains you’ve made in battery performance or increasing the need for more cells.
Not disagreeing that Tesla could have chosen to forego an aero improvement, and altered the look of the CT from on-stage.
