Wiper Constantly Squeaks - Anyone found a solution?

Does everyone else's wiper constantly squeak/screech? The wiper is my biggest issue with the CT. Whenever there's anything less than heavy rain, the wiper screeches/squeaks on the upstroke which is very audible in the cabin and also outside the car (I see people outside notice).

I already complained in my last service appointment, but they said it was "within spec"

Would applying a ceramic coating help?

Change your washing detergent that you use in your reservoir. Also wash your front window with a ceramic wash. Did both to my CT and no squealing.

Mine does not squeak, and I haven’t done anything to my wiper (haven’t cleaned the actual blade or the exterior windshield).

Now, I have had the wiper motor replaced (twice, 2nd time was due to the original replacement being improperly installed by the tech).

I’ve had good results with RainX, but not so much with their washer fluid. ?‍

When the wiper starts to make noise, I typically clean it with isopropyl alcohol.
I can get a couple of years on the wiper by cleaning, but eventually will replace the wiper as UV rays degrade the rubber.
I also use RainX.

I used to whine here a lot about the wiper; squeaks, streaks, too much washer fluid to clean the window. I also complained to Tesla and had more than one appointment to check it out. Then a couple of weeks ago I took it in specifically to evaluate the wiper and they put a new wiper on. They told me that there had been a problem with my wiper blade all along. Now it works like a regular wiper should.

I also think that the manual says if there is squeaking or streaking to replace the blade.

July Update: Still no squeaking or streaking. Cleans really well on 3 strokes.

Thanks all. I'll try the alcohol. The washer fluid is just plain water at this point, and I did ask the service center at my last appointment, but they said it was "within spec" and didn't do anything about it. I'll ask again at my next opportunity.

I uploaded several pix I took of the streaking and then they actually tested and confirmed that it was a problem. Before that I got the same song and dance.

I have the same issue and I agree it’s one of the few negative things about the CT among so many positives. The Auto setting wipes too frequently and there needs to be a setting that wipes half as frequently as setting Roman numeral I. Also, you should be able to turn off the “feature” that makes the wiper go faster when you hit the button on the steering wheel.

Yikes. Soap lubricates. Even a couple of drop of dish soap would be better than plain water. (I forget to ask: still, or sparkling?)

BTW, took a 200+ mile trip today entirely on FSD, got exactly one “phantom wipe”.

I sprayed some ceramic coating on mine, Hydrosilex from Amazon, problem solved.
