Been wanting to setup a starlink mini quick setup so I can stream games on my PlayStation portal both from my own PS5 as well as their cloud gaming service. Got a decent mount off amazon for my starlink which turned out to be pretty solid, also doubles as a flag stand should I ever want it for that. And I got the foronetry under screen mount that I initially didn’t like much (stuff kept falling off) but it turned out to be a nice snug fit for the portal and because it sits at an angle, the ends sort of lean up against the lip holding it in pretty nicely. Love this setup, the white controls of the portal go nicely with the white interior, just looks slick.

I thought i saw that someone had mounted starlink against the top glass with a mount? Would that not be better and more secure?

Mostly a personal preference for a couple reasons, one is I like the interior super clean, don’t want the top glass obstructed and cables running around, especially because I’ve got kids in the back seat often. Another is for me but more so for my kids, I’m not quite comfortable with all those WiFi and satellite signals jumping around the cabin should I want to use it on a road trip. Outside also works well because most of the gaming will be done when parked. A lot of folks definitely prefer the interior setup for security but I just slide it on and off as needed and leave it in the vault.

No. Not the CT. There was a short window where the S/X could, but it wasn't great quality.
Interesting. Quality due to streaming? Or just local processing power for most games?

That’s an excellent idea. Anyone know of an auxiliary video-in solution? I had an aftermarket thing like that installed on our HW1 model x a long time ago but I don’t know if such a thing even exists anymore.
On that thing you just plugged in an hdmi and could play on the center screen or watch a (wait for it) DVD if you so chose.

Haha epic. Are you camping with that setup? Nature and counter strike? Great combo if you ask me lol
Not yet, I'm testing it out in my driveway. I have the starlink mounted inside (rear roof glass with suction cups) running a 10ft cable to the USB-C in the back seat. That way my 110volt plug is still available in the rear, for my fridge (that's coming).

Works great running multiplayer networkef on Call of Duty :)

The switch is a good option too. I love my PlayStation but the Nintendo stuff is just more kid friendly. Probably dating myself here but it’s also very nostalgic/fun for me and my wife. I have a 4 and 7 year old so love this idea.
Great work.
