It's splitting hairs but i didn't hear the word increase.
its not really splitting hairs when he says "Specs and pricing will be different, sorry for the bad news", that does not mean decrease, its means increase. The only saving grace will be the truck will be much better. Far Far better. Tesla will just push a lot of people out of an acceptable price. They also will never make a single motor, prob not a tri motor either. I dont like the price increase but its just reality.

as long as much better does not mean no door handles and four wheel steering at the expense of 500 mile range…

yep, I agree. Range is the most important to me too.

If the CT prices increase by less than the 9.4% of inflation since 2019, then technically the prices went down

I'll break it down like this...

CT comes out and your flavor costs 15%-20% more than originally stated but is every bit as badass as we thought. . .

What do you buy?

Yeah ... the options that will make you happy get pretty slim.

You can't get any options with it. Nor can you fill a fleet.

-Crissa
In all honesty, the pro doesn't need much in the way of options save the 320mi battery which they only sell to fleets. They know a pro offered with the 320mi battery would tank the xlt and alot of lariat sales.
The pro is a nice truck.

Originally, pre-orders were for single, dual, & tri-motors. Then there was an announcement or a Twitter post that said this was being changed to dual, tri, & quad-motors. I read a post here where someone quoted estimated pricing for all four motor setups. What is the latest word in the actual motor options?

At tonight's annual shareholder meeting, Elon said Cybertruck price and spec will change. That in 2019 when they revealed, they could not have possibly known about the inflation and current environment.

Elon said......
"It was unveiled in 2019, for a $99 deposit. Cybertruck pricing and specs will be different, it will be a damn fine product. We are tracking to be in production middle of next year. Tooling install starting in next few months. "

Between now and production, i hope the world and economy stabilizes enough to keep the price hike to a minimum.

Im prepared to pay 5-6 k more for a CT3. If its too much more than that, I'm going for CT2.

Went for my 1st oil change in the '22 Sienna. Dealer offered me 7k more than i paid new in nov 21. Gulp!!!!
So long as FSD stays locked at 7K, the understandable increase for CT (mine is DM so I think safe for FSD last read... though think it will not hold) will be less painful a pill to swallow~
