I watched a video today and they mentioned the RAM EV actual reveal coming in a few months and that it would have the best in class stats for towing, payload, and range. Said it will be in production in 2024. I'm not sure about any of it. And I'm still really disappointed in their hyped-up reveal that wasn't.
I highly doubt that timeframe.

I bought a 2022 RAM 3500 Dually last year (the Diesel Pig).
It gets crappy mileage for a diesel and you pay for DEF on top of high diesel prices.
There is an issue with frame breakage on some trucks when loaded heavy.
Since we pull heavy gooseneck trailers I hope we don't have an issue with that.
We do have an issue with front tire wear and the original set prob won't make 44,000 miles.
Other that that we have not had any major issues although changing the oil costs an arm and leg.
Would I buy a RAM EV pickup?
If they offered a 3500 (one ton) that had the same range and towing ability I prob would once the CT is paid for and all the bugs are worked out of the RAM.
Ironically Dodge had a concept hybrid truck back in the 80's.
It had an ICE but used an electric motor to assist with acceleration.
When parked the engine could power equipment at a job site or be used as a backup power source.
It was called the "Contractor" and would have been marketed to tradesmen.
I don't think it ever went past the concept stage but I read about it in one of the car rags and went to my local Dodge dealer to order one. I ran an Alternative Energy company then and would have used it as a drawing card for the business.
The salesman said the magazine article had generated a lot of interest and I was not the only one that want to order one.
I guess Dodge and GM missed the EV boat back then too.

I do like the side rail trunk storage, "Srunk"?, but that is about it.

Please don't post any comments on any subject other than Cybertruck. It will get out of hand if we start down the rabbit hole of alternatives. Thanks.

Please tell me that was sarcasm.

Knowing market conditions and offerings from competitors is germane to CT purchase decisions.

Found this website, https://topelectricsuv.com/news/ram/ram-electric-pickup-confirmed/, that gives all kinds of info including battery sites being planned in North America. I presume this also means the Ram would be built at an existing Stellantis manufacturing facility in the USA. Of course, that's dependent on whether Stellantis is still in business by next year.

I have no desire to ever own anything from Dodge or any company that bought them or will buy out that brand name. As far as I'm concerned, Stellantis should be required to create new brand names. The Dodge Ram is not the same as the historical Dodge car and truck line.

Man have you got a good point there! Our local Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep stealer just had a Jeep Gladiator pick-up on display in front of Costco. The MSRP with destination charge was $54,538 BUT, with all their magic, the DEALERS ASKING PRICE came to a grand total of $90,898!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so amazed they had the audacity to show that off in front of Cosco, I took a photo.

These hyper modern marketing shots are so over the top. More like the houses these vehicles will end up in:
