I have 2 tri-motor FSDs on order. That was so, so long ago. I am pleased I may finally see a Cybertruck after all these years. Still, I have learned much mistrust from Tesla, so I will believe it when I see it. What I don't know yet is what the pricing will be. Tesla has basically said they are not honoring the original sale prices. I have no idea what my delivery dates might be. I don't know if they try to force the "yoke" down my throat. If the yoke is the only option, I am out. interested.
I've got two peices of information and one peice of advice:

1) Tesla doesn't know what the pricing will be yet. Why announce something before you have to considering that the economy and the market can turn on a dime?

2) Tesla doesn't know what the delivery dates will be. Why try to guess at something that's on no schedule beyond ASAP and "when it's ready"?

Advice: Just assume they will be forcing the yoke down your throat and buy an ICE truck. All ICE trucks have round steering wheels, just like you are accustomed to. This allows everyone behind you to move up one place in line. Yeah!

I would love to rely on cameras strictly, but here in CA sometimes you gotta signal after you start the lane change and there's too much delay on my Y. I wish it intuitively knew I wanted to change lanes and would flash the camera before I signaled.
I got a ticket for doing that.

I beat the ticket, but not because he was wrong, well, he was wrong because he wrote the ticket wrong and skipped court day, but...

Now I give at least three blinks before entering the lane, and I do not care if you come roaring up or not.

The guy who I hit who did that ended up arrested, so, I'm taking that as a sign.

Did anyone catch what the production ramp up and timing might look like?
Like start month?
volumes?
month 1
month 2
month 3
etc.
Have a sub 10k maxed res and need 4x4 for Colorado winter hoping its available by then.
I wouldn't expect that. Reading between the lines of Elon's words, he appeared to be saying they are in a rush to bring a great product to market but will not rush to achieve high production before the lines and production processes, as well as the supply chain, are well-established enough to crank up the production volume.

This is sad if you are like me and anxiously waiting to take delivery, but it's also happy and reassuring that they are not desperate enough to crank up production volume before they have validated the processes and the resulting product. Personally, I would have it no other way. Rushing a half-baked product out the door, when that product is pushing numerous technological boundaries, is a recipe for disaster.

Unless Elon was purposefully sandbagging expectations, which is certainly a valid strategy of protecting against unforeseen delays, I wouldn't expect more than 1-3 thousand out the door this year.

Bought a Model Y last week in Austin. When I walked in the door, I said "I'm here to pick up my Cybertruck". We shared a laugh and I said I'd be back for that in a year or two. The person responded by looking strangely at me and saying it wouldn't be that long and to not tell anyone. Sorry, person. Hope the person was lying; I don't want to take delivery of another Tesla for at least a year. I expect the price to be significantly higher for the Cybertruck; although they said material costs are trending lower on the 2Q call.

Tooling phase…. So that whole group photo thing claiming to the the first one from production was smoke and mirrors. It in testing and tooling. I’m glad they are testing, but damn man..4 damn years minus a few because of the Covid crap. I’m disappointed.
You can't finish tooling if you don't try producing something on it, man. Pre-production means they're past tooling and chucking the finished product out to be tested by third parties (like NHTSA) which is a small window, but somewhere after the first release candidate models have come off the time but after tooling teething has been dealt with.

Yeah, I was hoping for pre-production, not gonna lie, but they said they are on track to meet their delivery target this year and I gotta believe them. No reason not to; they have most of three months.

Even ignoring the area not touched by the wiper you cansee that the further you get away from the pivot point the more mud is caked where the wiper does touch . The wiper is just too large to do a great job on anything but rain. This wiper was always an afterthought , By the time my number comes up hopefully they find another solution.
They have the rest of the year to dial it in. Release candidate. I think it means they need to dial up the pressure or mount the wiper fluid sprayers to the BAW up along the blade.

Is really big on the inside.

That sounds like it's pretty big on the inside no?
The thing is, he didn’t make it ‘sound like’ it is really big inside, he said it point blank that it ‘is’ really big inside. Or was that your way of being funny?

I said sound like, because big is subjective. Might be big to Elon but others could think it's small.

But it sounds like it's gonna be big. We have to really wait and see.

Based on that picture, it looks like a footprint from a large 3-toed bird. Say an ostrich? Looks like that plate area is just over 1 foot wide (in ostrich feet).

CYBERTRUCK - BUILT TO DO REAL WORK

Investor / Earnings Presentation Deck (PDF download): https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/attachments/tsla-q2-2023-update-pdf.22375/

Summary also by greggertruck

Cybertruck factory tooling on track; producing RC4 builds.
Deliveries remain on track for this year.
"We are now testing Cybertruck vehicles around the world for final certification and validation. This might be the most unique vehicle product in decades; with that comes trialing and testing new technologies. As far as we know, Cybertruck will be the first sub-19 ft. truck (fitting into a garage) that has both four doors and 6+ ft. bed. Both technologically and architecturally, this vehicle will break a lot of boundaries – very much in line with how we think about vehicle engineering and manufacturing"
"Cybertruck remains on track to begin initial production later this year at Gigafactory Texas. In addition, we continue to make progress on our next generation platform."

Elon described the CYBRTRK as 'BIGGISH on the outside and even BIGGER on the inside'.....'The first truck we're aware of with four doors and will have a bed over 6' and fit into a 20' garage'
Packaging at it's BEST and l can't wait to drive it. I've driven some of the greatest cars of the past, but l'm yet to drive an electric car. The Future awaits.

It's almost identical to an F150 with a short bed, but the CT will have a 6'.
Not to be picky, but Elon tells us during earnings call today the CYBRTRK will be the first with a bed over six feet and four doors and still fit inside a twenty foot garage. Bloody Beaut! ( saving commas )

It's not the first... trucks in the 90s did it. But crew cabs were smaller then, as was the impact resistance.

The funny thing is I just realised the Cybertruck bed isn’t long enough to carry tatamis (for aikido practise) without them sticking out the back. Whereas the much shorter ID.Buzz was fine for that (after dropping seats) — and that’s the shorter European version! That realisation made me wince a bit. That’s the benefit of being able to expand the space by dropping seats.
