I do not have the specific link but it was shortly after he said the end of Q3 that he repaired that statement to say early in October. But what you are saying [sadly] rings true. The last time he was asked when the delivery event would be he said that it will be when they are ready.

Like you said earlier, there is no record of them requesting a large-gathering event. and the timing is 30-45 days prior. I have checked every week or so and have found nothing. So the end of October is quickly vanishing. Not to mention that it will get rainy in Austin and they will have a not-so-fun event if they keep postponing it.

only caveat is it would need to be a “mass gathering event” to trigger the permit req

possible they keep it a smaller affair? (I think it’s a 5,000 person, etc., trigger)

Rain has never stopped them before. It's just more reflections!

There is no run rate at all, it's just testing, testing the assembly line, making ct for additional testing, making ct for crash test.

For traditional manufacturers, this stage usually comes at least a year before production and it is when you see a prototype wearing a light camo. But Tesla does all of these probably 90 days before production. lol
