It's probably a foolish hope on my part but with the horrible range all existing electric trucks have now (speaking of towing), my hope is Tesla will recognize this and the CyberTruck will have a higher range than 500 miles for the low end model and higher range for the higher end models. If Tesla wanted to address the range anxiety towing issue, having the longer range would be the biggest advantage over everyone else. Plus for selfish reasons for myself, towing would encompass the largest use for me for this truck. Currently I have the tri-motor variant on order since 2019.

Here are my guesses. These are pricing for initial release with Telsa accounting for the availability of the $7,500 rebate, with an assumption that an initial Performance model will exist primarily as a high margin vehicle.

Cybertruck Long Range Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive - Range: 340Mi - Price: $64,990
- Range: 340
- 0-60 mph: 4.2s
- Top Speed: 135 mph
- Black Interior only for first half year of production

Cybertruck Performance Tri Motor All-Wheel Drive - Range: 325Mi - Price: $84,990
- Range: 325
- Quickest accelerating truck in production today
- 0-60 mph: 2.6s
- Top Speed: 168 mph
- Three high performance motors with carbon-sleeved rotors
- Torque vectoring
- Higher thermal capability brake pads
- White Interior - Exclusive to Performance for first half year of production

Addons
- Tire & Wheel Upgrade - Good Year Tires with more aggressive looking rims - $4000
- Autopilot - $12,000 / $7,000 Locked In
- 24' Wall Connector - $475
- Mobile Connector - $300

You are all nuts if you think any model is over $79k. What moron would pay $80k for a sub-500 mile range Cybertruck? I guess Tesla should charge this much to get through all the idiots with too much money for the first 6 months of production. It worked well for the model 3.

The same people who paid $150k for a Model S Plaid when it came out. I wouldn't personally, and I don't think it would be a super popular option, but there is a small market for those who are obsessed with having the speed. I personally think a "Performance" model (not the 500 mile tri-motor version we all want) would mainly exist for speed bragging rights and some margin padding.

Tis possible Tesla charges extra, and then lowered as the product scales.

But I doubt it, that would really piss people off.

Hence, I think the Performance is a brilliant idea. Fix your 4680 ramp delay by creating a point of difference and still maximize profits, and when ready to produce the 500-mile Tri motor, you still end up with 3 options, but now, 2 of them at likely higher margins.

All the while, prices remain stable, at the mercy of market forces.

And one day, we may still see the base model.

Knowing that only 40% of reservations were for a $69k, 500+ miles truck... And Model S+X sales have never gone over 100k...

How many sales of these trucks north of this price do you think we can expect?

-Crissa
Not to mention that S/X sales are worldwide but Cybertruck will only be sold in the States and Canada.

My prediction:

Base / Dual motor with 340 miles of range. 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. $59,990
Performance / Tri motor with 500 miles of range. 0-60 in 2.9 seconds. $74,990. This version will have torque vectoring.

I just don't see the demand for any vehicle if it costs so much, especially given the current macro environment.

If Tesla does not come out with the 500-mile range cybertruck, then I fully expect prices to be well under $70K for any trim.

My prediction is that Tesla will price it low, then will adjust prices based on demand. If the demand is really high, they will increase prices to market-clearing prices. If the demand dies down, they will reduce prices.

Tesla has done this in the past with all of their vehicles.

Wait a minute. I don’t know any Model Y buyers that haven’t been pissed at Tesla for lowering prices right after they bought (several people). One thing is certain; Tesla has no qualms raising and lowering prices on their own terms.

It's going to be 78.9k for Dual Motor and 98.9k for tri-motor, The Only option will probably be FSD and 2 different wheel styles (perhaps one style with street tires and another style with off-road capable tires).

The drivetrain is most likely shared with the S/X, in fact, the S/X was probably the preview of the Cybertruck drivetrain. The S/X Plaid was released AFTER the announcement of the Cybertruck in 2019.

Tri-Motor will get the optional white interior and standard with metal pedals.

They won't be able to make too many at least for the next 6 months, so there is no point in selling it cheap. Tesla will be able to sell each and every one of them at this price and still maintain a huge waiting list. Tesla will drop the price once there is more supply to drive up demand. The "affordable" Model 3 did not appear at least 6-9 months after the delivery event.

It will be about 15% heavier than the Model X Plaid, so its performance will be similar. Not surprised if Tesla was able to tune the drivetrain via software to gain more performance on the Cybertruck.
