This is America so it would be 120/240v
And what with math and all ?

yes well…

anyways, it’s late, and I’ve been in bed with COVID for two days (thanks MIL!), and it’s this or tv…

That would depend on cost difference between fuel and electricity, and how long each would take and if there is a charger nearby. Electric would still be cheaper in many locations, so if the charge speed was ok, you'd have to decide on the trip which one fits better.
True enough.... Unlike my Pacifica PHEV-33Mi which only has like 6.6kW Level 2 J1772.... The Ram will have (hopefully MUCH) higher speed DCFC CCS charging, so it could perhaps add ~100miles in a half hour... But DCFC is normally about $0.50/kWh versus the $0.10/kWh when at home, so the price is actually closer to gas, but it could still be cheaper. Most DCFC however do not have pull through charging (YET) so if you are towing, you might need to unhitch in order to charge up...

.oO( Imagining a day when all gas pumps also have an easy 250+kW CCS/NACS DCFC Port so you could gas up AND charge up simultaneously )

I agree, I think it most likely says "120/240v" and none of them say how many Amps nor Watts... But we can tell by the sockets that the 120s are 20a and the 240 is a 14-50. That doesn't tell us anything about the inverters, except that it wouldn't make sense to use a 50 amp capable socket if the inverter(s) are less than that... The Lightning has precisely a 30A pair on an L14-30 socket, so it just makes the most sense... Time will tell... It's just fun to speculate about this stuff for me.

nice, seems credible :) thanks.
Question Please

The specs indicate "Maximum Tongue 499 kg." I assume this means that an opening for a trailer hitch, and the electrics for it, are included.

What does that weight refer to? The downward force at the tongue ("tongue weight") -- or the weight of what's pulled (loaded trailer)? Thanks.

You doubt our new overlords?

Q: can you convert that chart to a measurement unit of chicken size?

GPT: I'm sorry, but it's not clear what you mean by "measurement unit of chicken size." Chickens don't have a standard unit of measurement like inches or centimeters. If you could provide more context or clarification, I'd be happy to assist you further.

Q: what would be your best guess of a chicken measurement unit?

GPT: Chickens come in various breeds and sizes, so there isn't a standard "chicken measurement unit." However, for the sake of humor and imagination, we can create a playful approximation:
Let's say the "Chicken Size Unit" (CSU) is approximately equivalent to the average length of a standard chicken, which can range from 12 inches (30 centimeters) for smaller breeds to 18 inches (45 centimeters) for larger breeds. Therefore, we could use the CSU to represent measurements in terms of chicken sizes.

Keep in mind that this is entirely fictional and not a standard measurement unit by any means. It's meant for fun and creative purposes only. If you have specific measurements you'd like to convert to this whimsical unit, please provide them, and I'll do my best to assist you in that context.

Q: [provides chart]

Certainly, here's the data with the measurements converted to "Chicken Size Units" (CSU), a playful fictional unit of measurement:

Can we get this post pinned or enshrined somewhere on the site for posterity???

Yes, hitch and connectors are in the rear bumper fascia, behind a removable panel

Yes. tongue weight is the downward force on the rear of the tow vehicle resulting from the weight distribution of the trailer. Standard rule of thumb is that tongue weight at hitch shouldn’t be more than 10% of the total trailer weight. (Which comes down to a ~balance of how much the trailer weighs, how the weight is distributed on the trailer, type of hitch used, etc.). In truth, listing the ā€œmax tongue weightā€ as a spec is sort of a redundant non-spec, because the tongue weight number is just a derivative 10% of the max towing capacity number. Spec-wise, it’s a little like saying ā€œtop speed is 100mph if you wear your seatbeltā€

Slightly shorter than an F150 but with a longer bed. Impressive!

It appears the dimension are slightly larger than a midsize truck, slightly smaller than a full size truck. The perfect Goldilocks dimensions IMO.

The concept was a true full size truck

Difficult to know what is best without knowing price for Ramcharger with 92kwh battery, 3.6-litre Pentastar petrol V6, and 130Kw electric generator AND, NO FRUNK.

Cost of 92kwh battery AND 3.6-litre Pentastar petrol V6 AND 130Kw electric generator seems likely to be expensive.

92kwh battery is not cheap.
130Kw electric generator is not cheap.

When Ramcharger actual ships I expect price to start at $90K+

EDIT TO ADD:

Have bolted up a compare (in heat map) of interior dimensions:

As suspected (by some) for a while, interior dimensions come in nearest to a Chevy Avalanche, but with width at hips (determining seat width) being comparable to a Toyota Tacoma - which explains the lack of 6th seat, but also portends a rather narrow rear seat that is "5 passengers" in name along the lines of a Tacoma (though CT's better shoulder width will help a touch).

EDIT TO ADD A 2ND TIME: ADDED MODEL Y AS TESLA CONSUMER REFERENCE

CT Interior Dimensions Heat Map From Leak.webp

Next is a heat map that essentially demonstrates the design thesis of the Cybertruck:

  • *nearly* full-sized BEV truck cargo area,
  • *nearly* mid-sized footprint/agility (but an ~F150 wheelbase, mitigated by 4WS)
  • somewhat *better* than mid-sized interior volume, at least in terms of rear seat legroom, but basically mid-sized seat width

EDIT TO ADD A 2ND TIME: ADDED THE HEAT MAP OF EXTERIOR DIMENSIONS (note Rivian height is a bit slippery to get nailed down, but height I view as really a nearly irrelevant stat for adaptive vehicles)

Revised CT Exterior Dimensions From Leak.webp
You are a formatting king!

So a question for you: the amount of inconsistent formatting that you see from the "non-official" spec sheet, are you by any chance worried that this information is incorrect or incomplete?
