New look at what's underneath the Cyber Diaper (Departure Angle)

You can see the two rails that do to the back from the rear cast here.

Note it appears the cast wings are a separate cast to the base frame. The rear motor bolts under the cast cross member, and the motor outer shell, which is also cast, forms further bracing of the rear area. Then to the front (the bottom end of the photo) is where the air bottle and vault cover roll is mounted. To the rear that whole arch is fairly clear, except for the motor hanging underneath.

Although it looks like a spare might fit in that area, I still think it is not big enough for a 35" between the bumper and motor, seeing the placement of the drive axels to the center of the wheels.

I'm hoping those two rails lead closer to the rear of that rear plastic so that rear luggage/wheel carriers can be attached without taking up the hitch. Some off-road rear tow hooks like on the front would be good.

These castings look way different than the stuff before.

we’ve not seen a lot of the rear segments, much less without the other uprights attached

Am I the only one who thinks that space can fit a spare tire? I don't know about a 35" mudder but definitely a street tire. It could also be the sub-vault trunk basin, I think less likely because they said you could access the inverter/motor from the sub-vault trunk and that would position it over the axles.

I don't know about a 35" mudder but definitely a street tire.

Two things here. First, both the anticipated tires (A/T and Street) ARE 35” tires. Second, there have been measurements and pictures galore around here about it, and some inside baseball comments, and it ain’t there.

I can't tell how the sail casting is attached to the lower cast wheel wells.
Have they changed the rear casts so they don't have the sails anymore?
Did they have problems making them together with the sail casts and are now doing it seperately, or were they seperate all along?

From what I can tell those sail casts are 100% required to get the rigidity of the rear bed and suspension to the cabin. Maybe they are attached afterwards?

attached after looks like. Rear casting area appears to be at least 5 parts - the lower casting, the two that risers attach near the tailgate, and the 2 that are up in the sales attaching upper cab to top of wheel well

yea, though that was an early TX truck, and wasn’t yet clear if these were bespoke casting segments or the end plan casting approach

the photo uncolored even had these uppers looking like a different material/finish than a casting

but maybe these are the production segments, too ??‍
