That’s really interesting. So we have one data point where the VIN is making its way through the factory within two weeks. If we can get more data points, then we can extrapolate how real time these VIN to production requests are.

No. My point was that I found it that day. It could have been active for weeks before since I wasnt running so many vins. I mention this further back in the thread about playing battleship.
In order to assure I have the date it becomes active, I had to record a not active scan before I get the active one. Without that, I can not be certain the exact date/time it became active.

So once we start having members report back their VIN’s, there’s a likelihood we will be able to track the Vin to factory output timeline in the future. As long as you’ve scanned that VIN before, and recorded, no output. Very good! Thank you!

I mean, Tesla’s own stated delivery timeline expectations with respect to FS orders should be your first and bigger “sign”
they’ve only sent out ~two tranches of invites, and already for people ordering in those tranches they’re signaling the last of the those tranche orders won’t be delivered until late 2024
meanwhile, here are two posts of mine from back in early August
at the time, it wasn’t yet clear if this constraint was ONLY cell related, ALSO cell related, or ONLY driveline related

That doesn’t necessarily imply a component issue…it could have been Tesla simply received a higher % of TM orders in the first tranche—which has not been officially delayed beyond the early 2024 timeframe.
But the fact that they have not produced a single additional TM in ~a week implies it’s more than just due to order quantity…

and I’d further add: over the course of not just the Foundarion builds, but all RC/MC builds dating back to June ~1st GFTX initial build:
they’ve built/registered a total of ~50 tri’s and ~500 duals

VIN 437 delivered today in California today. @newwave1331 you mentioned it above on Dec 4th. Did you capture a negative/non-used result before the 4th?

I have firm dates starting at 513+. That had an activation date of 12/11 (with a negative recorded the day before).

The guy who took delivery on YouTube said he got his vin last Saturday and took delivery on Tuesday.
