180 miles? Yikes.

When reserving the 500 mile range variant Cybertruck in November 2019, I would have never guessed over 4 years later we would be talking under 200 miles for a typical charger to charger trip. Grrrrr.
True, but the (shorter than expected) charger-to-charger distances may be only part of the discussion. We may also find ourselves talking about the (longer than expected) charging times at those stops.

I agree, especially if your reservation number is lower than mine!
This isn't about me first ... well, not entirely anyway. It's about right and wrong, natural consequences and people standing up from our wheelchairs that we must use due to our morbid obesity. We must demand justice and accountability from Tesla and the so called EPA.

There is no way I'm buying a damn Cybertruck prior to June 20, 2024 when my Model Y lease ends. By that time, the Cybertruck mileage will be much higher as will I due to the natural progress of my cannabis opioid addictions. :)

Aaah, long charge times will not be great, but that is more of a nuisance, as opposed to trying to make it across the middle of Pennsylvania going North and South and the Charging stations are 220 miles apart. Sigh.

And lose 1/3 of your bed?? Are you okay with a 4’ x 4’ bed???
Yes, the bed part of the truck is not terribly important to me compared to range while towing. I get by just fine right now with a Yukon (same size as a Tahoe) with the third row folded down and that cargo area is actually smaller than 4'x4' I think. I'll sacrifice some bed volume and carry any extra gear in the trailer. When I'm not towing the most I'm carrying in the truck is like two full shopping carts at Costco which I think the bed will be more than adequate for even with the range extender pack, plus there's also the frunk.

I can't wait to see someone tear the battery pack open. If it's stuffed full with 4680's, I agree with everyone else that this is terrible and pretty disappointing. They will have to figure out a way to double stack the pack if they still want to sell this thing in 3-4 years.

I'm in the same boat. As long as it can carry my hockey equipment I don't care about anything else. Give me the range extender and I'm all good.

It's time for all good men of conscience (and the 1 woman) with Cybertruck reservations to cancel immediately! We're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore. Go to Tesla.com and cancel that reservation today ...
Rotflmao.

You must be a day 2 reservation and want to get a bunch of people out of your way, to get a truck earlier.

It’s close or better to the range of my Lightning but with a smaller battery and AT tires. Sounds pretty good to me. Still anxiously awaiting to get my VIN. Not deterred in anyway about the “real world” ranges. I’ve never reached EPA ranges in any vehicles I’ve owned and wouldn’t expect to in a CT.

Looks to me to only be about 100 miles. But I guess that there are some backroad routes that could be 220 miles.

For reference near the left, between I-86 and I-80, those are only 100 miles apart.

I added an adjustment factor to the Total Range to make it line up with Kyle's test. Here is the range at other CT AWD Dual speeds as well as the other trims.

my concern is I have a vacation home 242 miles from my home. I sometimes leave early am to come to work and don't want to have to charge on route. I have a charger at both the vacation home and my office. The range extender is an option but financially that puts this purchase with the new pricing into the not sure it works for me category overall. This is 100% why I wanted and booked the reservation as soon as it said 500 miles. I knew 320 was too close for a full highway ride.
