Keep your “0-60 in 4.1 second ant every stoplight” and your “I’m towing a parachute” range reports out of this thread. Let’s see some reasonable range reports.

Interesting 1000 miles report from Houston.

After 1,000 miles, our range has been much better than what some viral content has shown. We just did a typical daily commute test and averaged 376 miles range. The drive was 25 miles, took 40 minutes, and we consumed 327 Wh/mi. The truck was on chill mode and most of the drive was around 65mph on the freeway.

After 1,000 miles our average range has been about 280 miles with a consumption rate of 440Wh/mi. That has been mostly on standard acceleration mode.

The cost in electricity to go over 1,000 miles has been less than $100. We charge mostly at home with a rate of $0.15/kWh. A small 10% of our charging was free at a local movie theatre.

Just like any car, how you drive effects your energy consumption.

327 Wh/mi sounds pretty unrealistic as that's pretty close to what I get with my M3P. Has anyone tried TeslaFi or Stats to track your data or are we going to be limited to screen shots of purported battery ranges, etc?

Depends on how one drives. My lifetime average is 253 Wh/mile which spans 1.5 mid Minnesota winters and 1 summer, including about 1000 miles with a 17' canoe on the roof of the Model Y LR. That gets my lifetime range pretty close to the EPA claim. Went to town today on our local highways (55mph limit). Preconditioned, drove the speed limit or a bit over at times. Temp was 3 degrees F when I left, then drove home at the days high temp of 10 degrees F. I have winter Blizzak tires with no aero covers so that's going to noticeably lower the range. Chill mode. Steering wheel and seat heat on 1, cabin temp at 63F. Ended up with 282 Wh/Mile for the 36 mile trip average. Did a little better (278 Wh/Mile) on the return leg most likely due to the balmy 10 degree F temp. Same is true of gas car mileage and driving style.

Isn't it interesting that both the X and S are lower efficiency at every temp below about 90F/32C? Don't I remember people on here saying "Why are we wasting time on the 4680? Why don't we use the Plaid motor? Why don't we use the MS battery pack? That'll surely get us 10,000 miles/charge!" Looks to me like the S/X package has more trouble at those frigid temps below 80F/27C! Sure, everything meets at 10F/-12C, but dang, that's really cold.

That‘s exactly the issue I want real world tests, anyone driving 65 on our highways is by far the slowest on the road, probably a safety issue unless they ride the right lane the whole way. I’m going 75-80 all day long and I’m not willing to change that to increase range.

Also I drove a Plaid X in chill mode it felt like I was driving a 2006 Prius, merging or passing was so slow it was dangerous.

It is nice to see city looks good, I’m hoping this matches or beats my wifes MYP on the highway. Time will tell.

Really? My M3RWD I get 220 Wh/m in summer and 260 in 35-40degree Oregon winter

This is encouraging news. The 4680 cells and software will only improve over time.

The rumor is Tesla is already on the 2nd generation 4680 cell but I can’t confirm.
Rumors of a 3rd gen too! (around the 6 minute mark)

FYI, on TeslaFI efficiency for your own vehicle (mine in this case).

This is on my 2017 Model X (without a heat pump). In the past I've put this in a Gsheet so I could do colored gradient formatting to make 'good' numbers visually stand out.

I haven't compared the 'tire set' option as I missed that the feature was added. Interesting!
I do log all my maintenance in a Gsheet so I may find some time to play with this feature.
