Are they actually selecting influencers who are likely to give glowing obsessive reviews even if they have issues to receive trucks at this time?

It definitely feels like most of the deliveries are wrap shops and influencers or like part of some "favorites" list.

Meanwhile, most first and second wave invites still have not received a VIN.

I'm only 1/2 bitter because of the issues people are having with the quality fit and finish of these early trucks and I don't mind giving them another month to work out their kinks... but still...

More than likely it's your location. They are moving state by state and Maine is pretty far away from Austin. And it doesn't appear as if you have a service or delivery center.

I got mine at 11284. It took awhile for me to decide.

@greggertruck was in the first or second wave of invites i believe. So it makes sense that he got his vin.

It didnt make a lot of sense when he got the invite but it may have to do with having gone to the event or having tesla friends.

I'm personally still on the, lets stop buying them so we can move to the 79k truck train but i know ill be stuck at the station for a while

I was configured on 12.14 and Arizona is an activated state

I’ve posted a list of states that are “activated” and will update as they bring on more

It's based on state and not res # at this time.

Once all states are active and deliveries are happening, they'll transition to deliveries based on order date.

Are you whining about VINs when the VAST majority of reservation holders haven't even received an invitation to order? Of course the short list is employees, friends, and influencers? Nothing new there at all. That said, are you really complaining about @greggertruck? I am absolutely fine with him getting his VIN.

Only about 20,000 reservation holders in CA, TX, and FL that are sub 1130 RN that still have not got an invite to configure.


Invitations and deliveries are based on a formula.

Location * Reservation Number * Social Media Following

and as @Jhodgesatmb as suggested, that shouldn’t be any surprise from the moment 1130’s got configuration invites before lower RN numbers

put differently, Tesla is preferentially treating influencers etc., just as they have been all along

It is by local market first but still surprised there are no earlier RN than 11302×××× though.
