I wouldn’t accept if I were paying half.

The edges sticking out is the design, it is just this little nip that you can see within 4 ft because it sticks out. I am not sure how they can fix it without a replacement. I had the VIN since 3/18, so I doubt it was refused. The markings seem to imply someone else has already passed on the truck as well.
It seems like superficial damage. I'd be tempted to take it.
But it's reasonable to tell them it needs to be fixed before you'll accept the truck. The edges shouldn't stick out like that.

So we could consider this a "nip slip?"
- Are their still edges that are manually grinded? It looks like someone slipped here. I don't think a robot would 'slip'. If it was robot programmed then > 1 would have this (and >1 reported here?)
Yeah this definitely wasn't a refused truck. You tracked it all of the way from the factory. The edges sticking out is the design, it is just this little nip that you can see within 4 ft because it sticks out. I am not sure how they can fix it without a replacement. I had the VIN since 3/18, so I doubt it was refused.
Is this your first Tesla? I had similar high expectations when I took delivery of our first Model X in 2016/17 we later lost it in the Woolsey Wildfires. When we took delivery of our replacement Model X, we just wanted to have our Tesla back. There are certain things I wish I made them address that still drive me nuts.I actually saw it from 4 feet or more away. All the other lines are sharp, but here is a "nip" just at the end of the whole truck. I admit if you were not walking around it with plenty of time, it would probabaly be missed. I also thought I am putting $110k into this truck and this is a slight disappointment. Overall, it is just amazing in real life.
It is a $120k vehicle. If you are buying it like most of us are to zip around occasionally and going to trade it for the next fun thing in a year or two take it and have fun with it!I visited my CT in the lot before they had a chance to clean it up. There are some "smudge/scraps" I think will come out when they detail it. Unfortunately, there is a dimple/nip on the back passenger fender. I am uploading both a cropped picture of it and the full picture of it so you can download it and zoom in. If you really zoom in you will see that the whole area looks stressed even above the nip. If I reject it, I have no idea when I would get a new one. I saw someone indicate it was 6 weeks. Also, will a new one have worse issues. I also have a truck I am selling to Carvana which is due to be turned in this coming Tuesday. We have several cars in our family, so I could survive a couple of months without a truck. Let me know what you think.

That was my thought too, I would just spend 10 minutes with a file and add another small facet to the corner, then match it on the other side. No one would ever notice unless comparing it side by side with another truck.Don't know how large it is but it looks as if it could be cut on this line and might not be noticeable
