My tonneau cover stopped closing because it was catching on a trim panel located at the rear of the glass roof. I went to my local Tesla service center, and they told me it would take 2+ weeks to get an appointment to fix the issue. One of the Tesla technicians was kind enough to take a look and tell me the process necessary to perform the adjustment myself. This video will show you that process.

Definitely not a “service” issue. Scheduling 2 week out is pretty typical for most repairs. Especially when it comes to an issue the guys haven’t had to address before. Great video! Especially if mine starts to hang up, I’ll know what to do now. ???

I would suggest avoiding putting windex on rubber parts. Ammonia is not kind to the rubber. Soapy water, vegetable based tire lube, plastic safe silicone spray or a very thin layer of silicone grease, just enough to blacken it, would all be better for the rubber seal.

Yes, I would call it rubber, even if it's synthetic in origin.

Thank you for the share. Mine stops 1 to 3 inches short. Have a service call for Friday. Not sure they have the understanding to fix it as easily as the video shows. The work order shows potential replacement.

Your issue sounds like it needs recalibration. Look for a post about that
