Was using FSD (Supervised) on a four land highway 4/19/24, traveling at 75 mph (the speed limit). Was in the passing lane, left turn signal came on and car moved into a left hand turn lane, but car never slowed down in anticipation of a left turn, and the turn lane ended at the intersection. I had to abruptly intervene and move back into the passing lane. I wanted to share this experience as a warning to others that FSD is not safe to use unsupervised. Please stay alert and take action when necessary!!!

FSD is not yet enabled on the CT at this time. so this is not really on topic.

Also kind of strange that on a Tesla vehicle forum, you do not list any Tesla vehicles under your profile.

This could be viewed as FUD by some.....

I think that’s why it’s called supervised FSD.

Keeping both hands on the wheel is exactly what is spelled out as a warning on screen whenever enabling or engaging FSD, but as humans are proving, it can't hurt to remind many of them again. Because as we're seeing a lot of them have dangerous attitudes that cause them to ignore safety instructions.

But no one ever said FSD was 'safe to use unsupervised' so to whom are you referring with such an interpretation?

Glad you managed to confirm Tesla's explicit warning instructions without any damage or accident!

Thanks for sharing.

?? I don’t own a Tesla yet, but I’m pretty sure it’s FSD supervised.

I wouldn't call it FUD, from what I think is the same person who posted at another site, it is what happened although it appears as if everything is exactly as stated in the click-bait title.
And if it hadn't been over-ridden, or if there would have been traffic in the wrong place, the car would have probably corrected itself.

But yes FSD is expected to the worse thing at the worse time at this point.

(But for an amazing amount of time it does the right thing at the right time)

Yep. I've not experienced any problems with FSD v12.3.4 and it fixed a couple issues in v12.3.3. That said I saw a report yesterday that the lane selection issues that a few people reported were fixed in v12.3.5 (which is very close to public release). FSD is indeed supervised and it's amazing. I like to think of it as the pilot and I'm the copilot.

The M3 loaner I drove for a couple days was amazing with FSD, except for lane selection. The nav knew where it wanted to go, but the car was very confused about which lane to be in, sometimes getting to the intersection and actually weaving frantically between two lanes lol. Sounds like they are making progress in this regard.

Looking forward to having it on my truck!

Crazy. Another day, another FSD drive where all I had to do was pay attention. Still alive. Amazing how dangerous this software is... /s
