FSD failed big time. I almost died. No amount of manual intervention could have prevented it. Good thing the other driver swerved. FSD is fatally flawed.

Whoa close one! Glad you are ok. In those situations I loosely wrap my hands around the steering wheel expecting the worst. 50/50 of the time, I have to intervene.

FSD is more a 99% of the time thing. The last 1% is ☠ unless you are take over to merge, or other complicated settings.

Looks like the red truck forced that situation and was driving aggressively.....glad it all worked out. FSD (Supervised) is awesome IMO.
How so? Looks to me like the Cybertruck blew through (I assume) a yield sign into the path of traffic with a green light. Could the red truck have moved over, sure; but they pretty clearly had the right of way and FSD should have yielded.

That's exactly the kind of thing that needs to be fixed before FSD (Supervised) can become FSD.

Cybertruck driver still ultimately responsible, looks like FSD was coming into that (assumed) yield way too quickly.

while close to an accident, it is far from death.

No amount of manual intervention could have prevented it.
How about stepping on the brake pedal?

Guess what? So are most “meat-sack” drivers. If we’re even that good. Yes, FSD will kill you and others if you allow it to. You’re the supervisor. Don’t get complacent.

@igs, I’m not attacking you.

Swap the Tacoma for an 18 wheeler and surely it's death..
I disagree. As a retired truck driver, I would have seen the CT not yielding and would have started to change lanes, which is what most trucks would do. And if they didn't, it would not have been death. Minor sideswipe at most.

yeah, too many assumptions to be made with the limited clip and perspective, however, FSD Supervised is AWESOME!!

Current FSD is like a 16 year old with a learner's permit driving the car for the 3rd time. It's dangerous at times, but luckily you have the controls to intervene if you pay attention, not something you can do in a normal car while being a passenger.

Now I would also like to understand the situation above and join the others in the question - was there a Yield there ?

That looks like Sahara Ave by the 15fwy in Las Vegas.. speed limit is 45mph, red truck does not appear it was going over the limit.
