Oh absolutely, Elon’s known for his unwavering commitment and laser focus. It’s not like he ever ditches projects halfway through to chase the next shiny object—like X, Optimus, Robotaxi, Hyperloop and Tunneling. This thread seems to indicate that selling 70k of a vehicle with 5.6 billion worth of sales is not worth keeping the line running upon demand. Workers can work on the Robotaxi line 4 days per week and run the Cybertruck line 1 day per week if needed. They spent the money producing the line, they will use it. Additionally, if needed to increase sales they will put another body type on top (van, different truck design) whatever to make money. They won't throw away the investment they have put into the line.
Just look at the massive reinvestment in the Model S and X that just dropped.
And politics? America First? He gives that whole rat’s nest a wide berth.
Rest assured, he’s definitely going to double down on the Cybertruck. After all, nothing says “long-term vision” like a dwindling backlog of orders and a massive stockpile of unsold vehicles.
But yeah, totally—nothing to worry about. The Cybertruck will get all the love it needs from him.
