I did, my post is on page 1Yes. Please do.
Not so, when it was converted the memo stated it can be used on multiple transactions without losing the remaining balance. I used $200 the bed mat and then recently I used the remaining $2300 on the under armor.Cyberbeast foundation received a $2,500 credit to use on Tesla stuff but it expired in one year from issuance and you have to use all of it on your first purchase. If you buy say the tire set or even $75 windshield wiper only on the first order you lose the balance of the $2,500. M
I opted for ordering the cybertent - which uses the entire $2500 credit since the tent costs $2,975. I paid the difference - if your buying the chains than you should order a bunch of other stuff as well to use your entire $2,500 on one order.
Originally it was stated that you must make a one time purchase and use the entire credit. If you didn't use it all he lost it. Email from Tesla:
To improve your experience using your Tesla Shop credit, we have converted your previously sent Tesla Shop voucher corresponding to (RN**********) to a $2,500 credit added to your Tesla Account balance.1 This balance may now be used for multiple transactions on Tesla Shop.
I did not ask for it to be converted they automatically did the conversion and said the $2500 would expire in one year from the conversion. Why would yours be treated differently? Corporations need to be consistent...Originally it was stated that you must make a one time purchase and use the entire credit. If you didn't use it all he lost it. They changed that at some point.
I never got an email about my credit and I never saw it in the online store.
I believe that's because I've been trying to get a system installed since the beginning.
But now they're telling me I cannot have the credit unless I install a gateway/powershare only system, through the EV only group inside Tesla.
I've been working for months unknowingly through the solar and battery group. Now they're telling me I can have powershare without a gateway and I can have a battery and solar but I can't have my credit. They did say that Powershare doesn't work yet with a Powerwall 3 only and backup switch but will in the future, and I was fine with that. But I would have to switch to the EV group to be able to use the credit but then would only be able to purchase a gateway with powershare only system.
I don't know who's making the decision on their end but they just keep making it awkwardly difficult and weird. They say that you got $5000-ish dollars worth of hardware for free when you purchase the truck. Then folks were like some of us can't install that hardware and they're ok, you can have I believe it was a lower amount and then folks got upset and then they increased it to $2500 and said you had to use it all at once and had a short amount of time to do so. Then folks got upset and they're like ok you can make multiple purchases.
Unbeknownst to me I started through the EV group and then told them I wanted battery and solar and they're like great but they didn't tell me they actually switched over the account or project and that I wouldn't be able to use my credit.
Then a few months later they canceled my project and sent me an email asking me why I canceled it. After spending a few days making phone calls to support that had no idea what I was talking about I had to set up a new sales meeting in their system and spoke with somebody there that was like, we're sorry they shouldn't have canceled your project if you were actively working with us which I was.
I told them what had happened and that I was concerned about being able to use the credit if they started a new project. The guy I spoke to didn't mention anything. They told me they couldn't enable the original project, that I had to start a new project. Then I spent a bunch of time working on this project waiting on PG&E and we're ready to move forward and I asked him why the credit wasn't on the quote. They actually asked me, what credit? After telling them the project manager said he talked to several people above him and they all said no you can't have it. Sorry we can't do anything. He said he was going to look into it and try again after I got pretty upset. Why Tesla can't just take care of this? They know it's a credit for the hardware I purchased with the vehicle, just let me use the credit and they're saying oh it's in another group we can't do anything. Anyway now I'm wondering if they're just going to say now, it's been too long you get no credit even at the Tesla store.
In Your app find the email which was initially sent to you with your credits. Go to view details In that message.Where do you go to view how much credit money you have?
Try searching your email for "Tesla Shop code" that's how I found mine.Don't see any message in the app regarding the credit. I'd hope they would send the emails.
The only thing that comes up in the emails is for Tesla solar and the emails back when I purchase the truck. As best I can tell they never sent me anything. Again, I believe that's because I started the process of installing powershare and solar.Try searching your email for "Tesla Shop code" that's how I found mine.
Yep. That’s how I realized what had happened to my credits.@Tanquen, try going into your Tesla app, to the Shop section, and put anything in your cart (i.e. a shirt). When you go to pay for it, they will be options under Payment (might need to select a drop-down). You should see something like "Tesla Credits" and it will show your balance. BTW, no need to buy anything. This is just to confirm you have the $2,500.
Okay, it does show the credit there. But I think it's been a year so is that a thing or not?@Tanquen, try going into your Tesla app, to the Shop section, and put anything in your cart (i.e. a shirt). You should be able to buy a UWC from the shop. (Realizing that's only a fraction of the amount)Okay, it does show the credit there. But I think it's been a year so is that a thing or not?
I still think it's interesting that I never got a message in the app or an email regarding it. What's the best thing to buy and then try to resell and not lose out on 50% of it? I still don't understand why I can't just put it towards the purchase of the solar, batteries, universal charger with PowerShare. I can only purchase a bunch of stuff in the store that I don't want or get powershare and a gateway only. Was that ever documented anywhere?
