Did a software update start this whole thing?

I don't think so. Its been a thing for people for a while. Recently it has become far more common. I'd guess wear and time?Did a software update start this whole thing?
It's also possible that the firmware was updated to better detect a marginal PCS, shutting it down.I don't think so. Its been a thing for people for a while. Recently it has become far more common. I'd guess wear and time?
It does not appear to be occurring more frequently. If you look at other threads, this has been going on from the beginning. There are more CTs with more mileage, so the numbers grow. My PCS failed in June of 2024 with a list of others around the same timeline.Very strange this is happening by the dozens now. This has been an issue before, but now all of a sudden it’s erupting. I’ve never had any issue with my truck the past two years, home charged at 48A the entire time; never seen a supercharger, and the last week I get the charging failed PCS pop up and charging dropped to 24A. I dropped off my car yesterday and got a loaner a week before my scheduled appointment because I didn’t want to wait for the 24A charge to also give out, but the part is unavailable and now waiting for it with no ETA. Some kind of firmware/software update in the past month or so must have triggered this in my opinion.
I got the same flapping sounds last week. I checked, and it's the cantrail on the left side coming loose. Scheduled the dreaded cantrail replacement. Not going to be happy with the indents, but what can you do?Let me know what comes from the vibrations/flapping noise. I have the same noise that sounds above me. Service center visit scheduled for next week.
tbf, i dont think we have seen the latest revision fail. I think @CYBEAST had 2 fail but not sure if the second failure was the new PCS model. It does not appear to be occurring more frequently. It does appear that nothing has been done to resolve this as we are seeing brand new failures as well.
