In the process of a buy back for my current CT. (Tangent ... this buy back process is taking forever!) On the fence about when to order a replacement. Main concern, relating to the buy back, is that I'd want the next CT to have a rev-G or later front motor. EPC shows a rev-G, but my CT received a rev-F replacement couple months ago. Would be nice to confirm new builds are getting rev-Gs.

Also, since Q1 just passed, curious what end-of-quarter incentives might be available at the end of Q2. Current incentives are 3.99% financing and 3 Months of FSD (new owners) or $500-off loyalty benefit (existing owners) with a referral code.

I’m waiting for the SUV

So, you're waiting for a non-existent, concept render vehicle that Tesla says will not be built? Good luck with that ...

Did you get fsd or supercharger transfer with your buyback? That’s the only thing that really holds me back

Look, I'm still in the honeymoon stage of Cybertruck ownership so I think everyone should buy one so they can be as happy as I am. With that small caveat, I say hell yes buy it but make sure it has that G-string err I mean, Rev-G you require to be comfortable. Hope that helps ... :)

Don't have either, so nothing to transfer.

Do you man, IMO I wouldn’t wait or give any care for a specific part revision. Meaning yea it sucks when something breaks but that’s what warranty’s are for and worst case they buyback the next one too and keep restarting that warranty. Sounds like free tires to me everytime they put you in a new one and you’re happy in the end. Not sure what revisions I have. But no real issues on my 2024 FSCB vin 29500 ish. I got 70k miles on it now and I’m happy with it, I’d buy it again if I had too.

These tires ain’t free. Buyback is costing me ~$7k. CBs don’t have this front motor issue.

I would wait until end of Q2 and see what the incentives are then.

Oh, I was assuming they would buy it back at full price vs a depreciated value. It seems like they would just let you slide right into another one for your troubles.

I'm not an expert, but this is my understanding. In CA, options for resolution are:
  • Buy back (full reimbursement - deductions)
  • Partial reimbursement and owner keeps the vehicle
  • Vehicle replacement
However, I haven't come across a case where someone was partially reimbursed or had a vehicle swapped by Tesla.

For deductions, a manufacturer can deduct for mileage. Calculation for mileage deduction is:

[(miles when issue is first reported - miles when brand new) / 120,000] * purchase price

Aside from getting new tires, I'm also considering I'll get a new PCS. Whether there has been a resolution to PCS failures in new builds has yet to be confirmed though.

CB owners have reported the same speed and temperature dependent noise you have experienced. I know the two CB loaners I had did it too unfortunately….

Hold out for 0% APR around the end of Q2. It will come.

This guy paid $113k out the door for his FSAWD and got a check for $108k buy-back
@14k-miles Los Angeles

Calculation is based on miles when issue is first reported. So I'm guessing they used ~4.7k miles for his situation. Mine was calculated at 9.8k miles. Currently at 12.2k.
