- Cyberbeast; 2018 M3 LR; Ram 2500
Before delivery, seems every reviewer raved about how quiet the Cybertruck was. That has not been my experience at all.
My Beast is actually quite loud. AT tires seem to account for a lot of the road noise. I enjoy the motor whine but regenerative braking is loud enough to be picked up by people on the other end of calls—iPhone over Bluetooth. (Side rant: BT connection is really no better than 6 year old Model 3.)
Compared to 2018 Model 3, the Beast motor and road noise is much louder but wind noise is substantially less. Early Model 3s were not exactly known for being quiet.
The Beast is much louder than my 2022 Ram 2500 Longhorn Limited. The Ram has much higher quality materials (lots of leather, padding, insulation, ANR, etc) leading to a far more refined if not luxurious ride.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the Beast, but don’t go in thinking it will be as quiet or as smooth as other high end luxury SUVs or Limited/Platinum/Ultimate trim trucks.
