If I have a friend who's battery is dead in their ICE vehicle, how do I jump it with the cyber truck? Is there a method here?

Or do I just keep a mobile booster on hand?

I could swear there was a video with one of the design leads at Tesla about jump starting. From what I recall the system automatically converts to 12v at the external leads. I will try and find the video.

I guess I was remembering incorrectly, they were talking about jump starting the CT itself. It can accept voltage to a value between 12V and 16.5V or between 30V and 50V, as input.

According to the manual:
Cybertruck cannot be used to jump start another vehicle. Doing so can result in damage.
So you can use a battery based jumper or maybe a 120v AC charger/start with the power outlets. I would lean to the 120ac because you might only need to jump someone once every.. 2 years? I would be worried about the batteries in the lithium based products being drained or dying.

In an emergency, can you use the 12v connection to power a 12A, 180 Watt jack?

Any sort that can plug into the wall will do, since there's outlets.

The 12v circuit on the truck will not.

Honestly, so many portable ones are so poorly made, I usually expect them to be dead. If someone can find one that works with an extension cord, please post it!

You can carry an old school battery charger and plug it in. Its not super fast like a jump start but it would work in a pinch.

Hey! The 12v battery in any EV isn't meant to draw cranking amps from another vehicle. Even if you manage to hook it up, I would advise that your friend call a tow truck. That or use something that plugs into the external outlets to crank the ICE vehicle. This is coming from an ower of a M3LR owner.

I've been thinking about putting a small 12v agm cranking battery in the frunk to power a winch properly. Just a little trickle charge controller from the 48v system and you'll have yourself a pretty lightweight jumper and a ready to go 12v system.
