truck kept lowering when he was going faster because he was not in baja mode
It's very true but it does raise a point on how some things are hidden away in screens that maybe should be more obvious to people who do not like spending time in screens learning stuff. I've always loved deep diving into menus to see what things are capable of, but on other things I'll admit I just want to to work like I expect it to, and my attention should be drawn to important things.

Some of this was hard to watch. . . But I watched every min of it. Ha! Entertaining to say the least. I’m impressed that he finds a way to destroy two good trucks and get paid for it.

I agree, no reason to fake or preplan a failure for clicks for him. The jumps and C4 should give enough hype to the video. Truck did well in the most real world applicable scenario which is getting your windows smashed. I saw a homeless throw a bottle at a car window once

Folks that try to rip a vehicle to shreds will ultimately find a way. Once abused, all bets are off.

If someone wants to trash a vehicle for YouTube, we'll watch tho!
"Jackass" meets "Car & Driver" lol

Wow saw some amazing stuff but that frame cracking ouch! CB torque is insane just snaps off

I doubt the average person will never do 10% of this torture test….. well maybe the C4 lol
I wonder if 3rd party mods like unplugged performance's steel bumper mods would work better?

There are actually quite a lot of cool looking mods for the cybertruck here including a steel underbelly armour.

It's a longer video, but WhistlinDiesel subjects both trucks to brutal punishment. None of this was reasonable use, but it was interesting.

Highlights:

A chain attached to the tow hitch snapped the aluminum mega-cast apart.
Jumping took the vault cover off its tracks.
I've always been a fan of these videos, and this one did not disappoint. I honestly thought the Cybertruck's front suspension was going to give out right away. I think the rear was damaged dropping off the culvert (at least I hope so because I do tow with mine, LOL). Overall, I think it did pretty well, to be honest. In all fairness, the Ford was undrivable right from the start, so the Cybertruck did last longer technically, LOL. Thanks for testing the Cybertruck, WhistlinDiesel!

Very entertaining watch as with all his vids.

Overall did pretty well IMHO? I thought the steering or suspension would cause issue way before anything else.

The only thing i didn't like was the hitch issue. Judging by where it broke and watching the vid, I assume the drop onto concrete right beforehand caused it to be structurally compromised. A non-issue in real world use, but still interesting. Personally i think Tesla should put this on a separate casting piece/stamped steel panel that bolts to the truck in order to aide future repairability (maybe they already do, anyone have pictures or diagrams?)

Can't wait until I can afford one on the used market in 5 years ?

What concerned me was actually the vault cover it failed pretty badly and didn't appear to have been abused.
It's a stack of interconnected heavy horizontal ribs, presumably they flex enough under heavy load (jumping and suddenly landing) to pop out of the track. Was it Mountain Pass or Unplugged Performance that had the same thing happen on theirs after jumping it?

The vault cover coming off the rails seems to be a common occurrence when jumping the CT from other videos and reports. There was a suggestion that it might be best when doing such that the cover be placed in the open position to reduce the chance of it becoming derailed. No idea if it would actually help but I do believe there is merit to the idea.

It’s failed in other off-roading videos too. Every new vehicle does have to have some weaknesses.
