What was the total cost? Time to install?Found an air compressor and tank that fit in the space underneath the smugglers bay. Wasn’t the cheapest option, but works pretty well. Power is taken from the roof 48V using a 48v-24v DC-DC converter mounted inside the side wall.
Compressor: 200psi/24v VIAIR 330C-HG
Tank: 2.5gal VIAIR

What we would do on our rock crawler jeeps is mount the air attachments tucked on the frame rails or inside bumpers. That's a great point, definitely not ideal (I've caught them on a few things and almost impaled a watermelon once).
The smugglers bay would be a great option but a pain to get to when the bed is packed. Eventually I plan to recess the connections and switches behind the sidewall with a small cover (similar to the power outlets on the opposite side).
That’s awesome! You turned on of my wish list items into reality as I was also looking at the VIAIR on-board compressed air systems too. I don’t have the CT yet, but have been looking at what mods can be done. Very kewl indeed!Found an air compressor and tank that fit in the space underneath the smugglers bay. That wouldn't be a good idea because the air suspension uses a higher pressure compressor (somewhere around 350-400 psi) designed for lower volumes. Tires need low pressure air at higher volumes. It's very inefficient to compress the air more than necessary to fill the tires. Is it not possible to tap off the existing compressor?
I wouldn't tap into critical infrastructure like that since it's tied to the suspension. Is it not possible to tap off the existing compressor?
Very nice! Can you give us an ide on time to disassemble, install and reassemble?Found an air compressor and tank that fit in the space underneath the smugglers bay. Awesome build, thanks for sharing! I was just pointing at my wife’s Rivian compressor nozzle and saying I want that in my CT. Would you mind sharing your parts list, particularly the 48v>24v DC converter, you used? That's a great point, definitely not ideal (I've caught them on a few things and almost impaled a watermelon once).

There is, the solenoid on the left side connects to the bottom of the tank and vents out just below the hitch. The bottom power switch is a three position switch wired such that holding it in the spring loaded down position drains the tank.Is there a drain at the low point of the tank to drain the condensed water out?
