also yes it’s not big, it’s to some degree it feels smaller than my pickup. It’s shape plays tricks with your mind like looking at it head on, the one giant flat seamless plane from glass to hood makes is seem big, but if you stand next to a factory 4x4 f150 (or other make)6-1/2’ bed it feels slightly smaller than that.
I’ll upload more things I noticed later.
Hope this was helpful for now.
I think a lot of people jus think a full size truck is “huge”. The fact that the front end is at its max height likely contributes. I foresee a lot of these getting flipped by white collar buyers excited by the tech but who can’t figure out how to park it.

The Cybertruck will be the most "flipped" vehicle in history. The demand is huge and the profits margins will be off the charts for the 1st year or so.

😊I’m only going to keep my Tesla for the duration of the warranty. Then, I trade it in.

I’ll be using it to load and unload mountain bikes and/ or people into the bed.
Ah! The younger days of BMX riding. I’m retired and pass that stage. Anyway. Enjoy your ride!

I drive a DeLorean, the Cybertruck is going to feel like riding an elephant with a blue whale strapped on the back

You could load your delorian in the back. Then it would feel like riding an elephant with a blue whale holding a sloth strapped to the back.

So I also used parts of my hand to measure the width of those sections, (for the record did not touch the bed). Measured those parts of my hand. The outside tailgate sections are closer to 6-1/2”(165mm) and the smaller sections are closer to 3-1/2”(89mm). Which if I’m right with my guesstimation on widening right before getting to tail gate (2”). That’s make the bed around 49” which makes sense had to be at least 4ft.
Also here’s some underbody footage.
as well as 4680’s unwound, had cut open structural pack there too. Good set up, I’d recommend going if you can.

Nice.

The 49” bed width is I think tolerable if it flares out near the end where you would pull on a sheet of plywood (or I seem to haul more drywall). The flat sided bed and flared out tires gives it a bit of a step side truck feel.

We’re planning on getting down there in the spring. Maybe take a trip to Catalina and escape the oregon rain and hit the museum while were are there.

We got addicted to Gotham Garage so my wife wants to check out their cars while she’s there.

It's gonna look tiny parked next to my neighbor's double cab truck.

You just gotta raise the suspension every time you park next to them. Then you can make fun of the 2 pumpkins which are likely only 12” off the ground on their truck. Maybe leave some get some boulders to pull up onto also.

Actually, this is the OG and I think most agree it conforms to the specs posted previously. So just enjoy the display. I am a bit jealous though.
Here's the Elon tweet where he says the truck at the unveil was 84" wide, so we know for sure that the width measurement of the OG proto does not conform to the specs that were shown.

An F-150 crew cab with 5.5ft bed like the one in this photo is 231.7in, the CT is longer.

Will be using the Cybertruck’s tailgate ramp for my dogs to climb onto.
I'll be riding my 53lb Ebike up and down the ramp. It's not impossible without the ramp, but definitely more fun with it. :)

I think Mr. Musk tweeted the measurements before driving the Cybertruck through the Boring Tunnel with Jay Leno. It was a tight fit with little room to spare.

The reveal can't come soon enough!
