Probably didn't pre-heat, either.Guy was driving fast 75-80 mostly highway during winter in cold weather.
yep - towing is really common in Europe with no regard to the vehicle type. When I was a kid, almost every sedan my dad owned had a hitch and we had two or three different sized trailers.I just got back from a trip to France. Virtually ZERO trucks there. But what I DID see was sedans towing stuff. And not just occasionally, I saw it a lot. Even small boats! And and massively disproportionate number of Teslas towing stuff. It wasn’t like California, where you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a Tesla. They were few and far between (outside the major towns), but when you see something towing, it was 33-50% Tesla.
‘mericaThe US version is to constantly haul around a vehicle humongous enough to carry that one big load you need once in the lifetime of car.
The greater the range the greater the number of days that I will be comfortable in camp mode. [Under the bridge, down by the river]Who needs a long range battery when a rapid charge battery is a better solution? It would be smaller and lighter.
Well, I personally have “up to Olympic sprinter speed”I mean… ?? If they delivered only trucks with 200 miles range would that be considered “Up to 500 miles”?

I didn't realize that sedans had such a serious range limitation, someone should let the folks in Europe know that before they find themselves stranded.‘merica
worth noting, however, that many in US select for a vehicle that can town not just heavy, but also long distance

It is possible that like Rivian, Tesla starts with lower range CT until it runs out of customers and then release a 500 mile. With lower range CT, the payload, performance and production numbers could be maximized.I didn't realize that sedans had such a serious range limitation, someone should let the folks in Europe know that before they find themselves stranded.
Seriously though - that is that standard argument for why US drivers justify what they buy, just in case they might have a need to tow that great big heavy trailer that a buddy owns.
One of my friends once told me when I bought my Model 3 - but can it tow 14000lbs of feed to my farm. I didn't need to ever do that so trailering wasn't a criteria.
However, I might occasionally need a 500-1500lb trailer that my Model 3 can easily tow.
A truck isn't the only answer to towing.
Still getting a CT though for those times when I need to haul that 14k of feed from to my farm![]()
if you wanna’ be chippy about it, you might at least be generous in your interpretationsI didn't realize that sedans had such a serious range limitation, someone should let the folks in Europe know that before they find themselves stranded.
