Be careful with the Voucher - no sales tax

The Tesla shop got re-stocked today so I placed a single order to burn up the entire amount - my order came to $2551.00 after tax and of course the voucher was for $2500. After applying the voucher I was expecting to pay the additional $51 that I went over - only to find my order came to $2310 because apparently sales tax isn't applied when using the voucher. By then it was too late to modify the order and add another $190 of inexpensive random stuff (mugs, clothing, truck bed hooks, etc.). So when you're spending the voucher, make sure to spend at least $2500!!

Yeah I did this too. Confusing and lost a couple hundred bucks. Didn’t bother with customer support

I took delivery on 26 July & received my voucher a few days later. I have no idea what OG means, so how do I know which group I fall into?

The original voucher codes came in an email with specific language about "use it all or lose" in the footer of the email.

Later deliveries got an email letting you know that there is a gift card credit in the Tesla Shop. If you login to the shop, you'll see "shop credit" of $2,500. That can be used like a gift card until the expiration date.

Thank you for the clarification. I just checked & I’m blessed with use it all or lose it flavor. This is beyond frustrating, Why can’t they simply replace the original voucher if it hasn’t been used yet with shop credit?

This Cybertruck is the third Tesla we’ve owned and we go thru something like this every time. As with others in this community, love the cars/truck, HATE the customer service.

I actually got through to Tesla customer service via email and they shot down my request to convert my (still unused) voucher to shop credit. Though I like the use of the word 'currently' haha!!

Currently, there is not a way to convert the voucher given into a gift card. We recommend to use your voucher towards items when they are in stock on our website.

I'm waiting for that damn Air Compressor Ultra, haha!! And I'd love to use it for the lightbar.

We also need another Universal Wall Connector so that helps too. But with all that, I’m still short by about $500, but some of the stuff I need for the CT is NIS of course.

The only way that worked for me was to go to the Contact Us page:

Customer and Product Support | Tesla

And select "Recall", then "Yes" for 'Do you need more help?' You should get an email dialogue box.

Every other choice seemed to spit you out into more web links for support articles.
