It's conceivable that regen could have been limited. That's expected at high SoC and can be temperature-sensitive.

There are even some long-time Tesla drivers at TMC that believe regen was reduced in the last software update:

although my experience with regen shows it to be very effective.

To everyone saying pics or it didn't happen... what actual difference would the picture make? Would you believe OP if there was a picture of the truck smashed into a pole? That would somehow make you believe that the brakes didn't function and it was not operator error?

I'm not sure what evidence would be sufficient for everyone to be on the same page with this one. Lots of people swore their teslas accelerated for no reason as well when it turned out they hit the gas instead of the brakes.
I don't give a flying F*K about photos. However, the logs will tell the story. Tesla has the logs....yes, all cars have this info. Will be interesting to hear what is published.

Wow some of you are vicious. You can like Tesla without calling someone that has an issue with them a heretic. Smashed truck is bad enough without people calling it a hitpiece.

Everything was spectacular i enjoy the vehicle and im glad i am not injured in any way. (airbags did not deploy) definitely have whiplash.

again i can only explain it as brake malfunction and how it happened, there was no warning signs , nothing, didnt decelerate fast enough, and brakes didnt engage fast enough, there was a delay,
There could be air in the brake lines. Not sure how it happens, but I had it in my old Toyota before (was fine for 40k miles and no recent fluid changes). Was scary when it happened to me, but got pressure back after pumping it 5 or 6 times. After that, I had never experienced it again.

Regen was working but it was limited it was different than before ( I’m doing a bad job of explaining), hence the application of brakes which also had a delayed feeling. I’m glad to be uninjured 🙏

Feeling a bit sore
Still love the truck though.

All Tesla has so called Black box that continously record the vehicle's usage history and vital statistics so they can pull up information pertaining to the vehicle prior, during and post accidents.

Yea they have a team looking into it right now.

I find out what their diagnostics and review of the issue is.
