Behind the bumper is fine. Why care where the spool and motor is? You care where the hook and line is.

You know that you shouldn't use a amphibious CT winch for fishing right? ?

So long the cable comes out through rollers for different winch angles, and you can keep the cable clean when spooling, an interior winch mounted behind the bumper should be fine. Just don't take it white whale fishing.

Maybe the front motor doubles as the winch motor. Just a simple clutch mech, right? :devilish:
Technically if used a double acting clutch, you could disengage the front drivetrain and engage the winch at the same time...

But you sorta want driven wheels when your stuck too.
But...maybe worth doing for the rear to drive a propeller in boat mode?

A winch motor costs what $50? The assembly to disengage the drivetrain/ clutch as appropriate is likely more expensive & much more complicated.

I suggest that anyone inventing their own Cybertruck light and headlight implementations go look at the images and video on: tesla.com/cybertruck because all 3 light bars are shown in use and the headlights are shown multiple times in use on the hood light bar.
These are some photos of front end lighting. I think the windshield light is gone. I have not seen the clearance lights in a while. They moved from a top the windshield to below the frunk and lately are gone. In the latest photo, the wrap around DRLs might be replaced by the rectangular grill light. I’m not sure of fog lights, have not seen any mounted low lately but they might be part of the headlight array below the frunk.

Passengers and driver only look through the lower two thirds of the windscreen which will be completely wiped by the single BAW on one side. You have tot think of anything above the camera/mirror pod on the windscreen as part of the glass roof, not as part of the windscreen. That's also why the top part is tinted. The MX/M3 also doesn't have a wiper for the glass roof.
(PS in this photo the rear glass roof really looks like its a solar panel)

I measured the BAW as 120cm as a measure benchmark, the window is from the base of the BAW to the other side is 131.9 wide.

Roughly, we could be looking at 12cm short. 4.5"

If the BAW is angled towards the frame... it could be a little more.

It is possible the photo is a little askew. The measurement could be wrong, but overall not as bad as some may think. I'd say the BAW will be able to do the whole windscreen.

As far as Tesla is concerned (unlike us drivers) the wiper need only be good at keeping the cameras clear, and the BAW will be weakest there.

That's just something that got stuck in the grille grates, most definitely not a light as you can see how non homogeneous it is, there are faint traces of it even inside the rectangle outline. Could be dry ice.

The black line is hopefully just a shadow. Yeah these mirrors look really out of place, like car mirrors bolted on a truck.

I’ll be the first to admit, I dont know. The photo is not of a resolution that allows in depth detailing. I dont like the rectangle looking light area in the grill so I hope you are right that it is “not a light”.

Maybe the wiper doesn't rotate on axis but maintains the blade on verticle as it wipes horizontally across windshield.
This would help maintain contact in the airflowing over that windshield at 80 mph.
If the lower edge slightly preceded on wipe it would roll the water etc upward.
I don't think wiping a windshield downward is particularly effective considering wind is pushing upward...
