Front Tow Hooks / Recovery Points spotted on Cybertruck [9-11-2023]

Yea, the 724 build? I thought I'd pointed these out but maybe not.

Saw several Cybertrucks today (other vids coming), one with installed front tow hooks / recovery points.

For a while we’ve known the attachment points would be behind these trim caps, but I’m not aware of any sightings of these external toe/recovery points installed.

As for the rear, this build (VIN…710) did not have rear hooks installed, but similar rear attachments points are there, under these similarly spaced trim caps in the rear:

I’d assume that the tow/recovery hooks for the rear would come alongside replacement trim caps to clean up that area, so it doesn’t look quite as sloppy as the unit we’ve seen with the rear fascia removed.

I sure hope they're enabled via touchscreen.

What frunk fiasco? It has one, as expected. If you’re bent out of shape over the size of the frunk, don’t be. It was NEVER going to have a large frunk like the F150. The front end even in the concept wasn’t as long as a F150.

the CT front end is ~identical in length to the F150

it's frunk isn't as large because it has different interior packaging, that's all

Wouldn't the rear just use the hitch for tow hooks? That's all my current 2500 has currently in the rear (does have tow hooks on front)

Recovery hooks typically line up with the frame ends for extra strength. It's not too hard to bend a hitch when trying to free a stuck vehicle. In this case, there are no frame ends, but you still want somewhere to grab the front of the vehicle if it needs to be pulled out. This might also be a good towing attachment point if you wanted to drag a Cybertruck behind a Cyber-Motorhome.

I wonderrrrr….. if this is how they will ship? I hope not but wonder if that along with the different windshields are what the 7 builds are yielding?
