Just to clarify is 228" your estimate or you've been told that is the actual length?

I do have a measured scan of Cybertruck from last month. I do believe the same truck I scanned is the same truck that was at Petersen this past weekend.

Cybertruck is right about 228" by just about 80".

Your photos are doing what's called forced perspective.

In CVs world this doesn’t exist, and Elijah Woods really is 3’6” tall. The hobbit is real dude.

Yep, I remember that. The expected length of 231.7" would have also been within the error margin though. 4" is a non trivial difference, sacrificing rear seat leg room and/or bed length along with potential space for a spare to make it more garage able does not strike me as a sound decision.

Pretty sure most of that 4” came off the front.

I don’t think there was ever enough room behind the rear wheels for a spare. Tesla put the rear wheels pretty far back.

Tacoma double cab long bed is 225.5, right at bottom range.

Lightning is 231.7”, right at top range

Going to show that a measly 6” is the difference between a midsized double cab truck with a longbed and full sized double cab truck with a short bed - And 228” is directly between

and that just by looking at the exterior length, you ain’t guessing which

Both the Lightning and Silverado EV have a 145" wheelbase. Cybertruck's doesn't appear to be any bigger on these latest prototypes, if anything @cvalue13's measurements would suggest smaller than that number.

Not sure where you got that number from. I’ve seen 149.9” for Cybertruck wheelbase.

I don’t trust CV’s numbers either, he has a casual relationship with physics.
